Abstract

The invention relates to an internal locking device for a door leaf of a motor vehicle. The inventive device comprises a casing (2) which contains a lock mechanism (5) having one lever (5D), known as the internal locking lever, which rotates around a first axis (A-A') and which is connected to a slide-actuated door lock button by means of a rod (3). According to the invention, the button must be pushed in order to rotate the lever (5D), by means of a stop element, around the axis in one direction, and to move the mechanism into the locked position. The aforementioned stop element comprises a two-armed lever (4A, 4B) which rotates around a second axis (B-B'). One of the arms (4B) is disposed inside the casing (2) and actuates the internal locking lever (5D) by means of the stop element, while the other arm (4A) is disposed outside the casing (2) and is connected to the rod (3), said second axis (B-B') passing through the casing (2).
