Abstract

The invention concerns a chemical compound of general formula (I), wherein: RF and R'F', identical or different, represent each a halogen atom or an organic group selected among an alkyl, an alkenyl, an aralkyl, and alkyl-alkenyl, an aryl-alkenyl, said groups being linear or branched, a cycloalkyl, an aryl containing 1 to 28 carbon atoms, said organic group being halogenated, for example at least 40 % of its hydrogen atoms being substituted by a halogen, said organic group optionally comprising one or several heteroatoms such as -O-, =N-, -S-, =P-, =(P=O)-, -SO-, -SO2-, and RF and R'F' are each optionally part of a polymeric chain or a network; R and R', identical or different, represent each an organic group having 1 to 400 carbon atoms, and are each optionally part of a polymeric chain or of a network; R1 and R'1, identical or different, have each one of the meanings of R and may also represent a hydrogen atom. The invention also concerns the use of such compounds as air- and water-stable radical precursors.
