Abstract

The invention relates to a closure (1) for lyophilizing, comprising a sealing part (7). In order to create a structure that is accessible for treatment while being robust during transport, the sealing part (7) is accommodated within a fixing part (6) which is to be placed upon a container (3) in two axially different positions, i.e. a first position in which the sealing part (7) cooperates with the container (3) in a non-sealing manner while an atmospheric connection is provided to the interior (3') of the container, and a second position in which the sealing part (7) cooperates with the container (3) in a sealing fashion.
