Abstract

La présente invention se rapporte à un procédé de traitement de l'eau ou d'eaux usées, selon lequel l'eau/les eaux usées à traiter sont tout d'abord mélangées à de la cendre de bois dans un rapport de 0,278 kg de cendre par m3 d'eau/d'eaux usées. Le produit de lixiviation de la cendre de bois produit est tout d'abord laissé à sédimenter aux fins de l'extraction des plus gros débris avant d'être soumis à une électrocoagulation ayant pour but la décoloration. La durée de retenue du produit de lixiviation lors de l'électrocoagulation est maintenue à un maximum d'une minute afin d'assurer une consommation d'énergie minimale. Ensuite, le rapport de la zone de surface des électrodes au volume d'eau est maintenu proche de 0,0645 m2/m3.
