Abstract

A multi-wick candle 5 is disposed within a glass container 3 having a circular projection 32 that engages within a corresponding recess 22 formed in a heavy glass base 2, to restrict lateral movement of the container 3. A glass shade 4 surrounds the container 3 and engages in a groove 25 around an annular rib 21 formed on the base 2, to restrict lateral movement of the glass shade 4. Apertures 41 allow the flow of air into the lower part of the shade 4. Movement of the wicks 6 is inhibited by a wick carrier 7 that engages closely within the container 3.
