Abstract

A composition for chemoembolotherapy of colorectal metastases in liver preferably comprises particles of a water-insoluble water-swellable polymer and, absorbed therein an anthracycline in high dose. Suitably the polymer is a synthetic anionic polymer, preferably a poly (vinyl alcohol) based polymer and the drug is doxorubicin.
