Abstract

The invention relates to a packaging and loading system for aeroplane and catering trolleys (9). Said system comprises a transport container (10) (so-called tray container, with a securing device (12) and an optional handle (3)) and collapsible packagings (11) for food portions (so-called tray boxes, with a transport and sliding prevention element (8) and an optional locking element), and enables a trolley (9) to be rapidly (re)filled by inserting or exchanging the tray container (10) without having to remove the individual trays (together with individual food portions), even when there is only a narrow space. According to the invention, the inventive system is also suitable for existing trolleys. The arrangement and shape provides enough space for double or triple the amount of food portions compared to conventional loading systems, and the inside shape of the packaging of the individual food portions prevents the food containers from moving during transport and while being used by the customer (passenger).

Description

Beschreibung VERPACKUNGS- UND BELADESYSTEM FÜR FLUGZEUG- UND CATERING WAGEN ( TROLLEYS) Description PACKING AND LOADING SYSTEM FOR AIRCRAFT AND CATERING CARS (TROLLEYS)

1. Technisches Gebiet: Verpackungstechnik1. Technical field: packaging technology

Aircraft and catering serving trolleys (so-called trolleys) have so far been loaded in such a way that individual trays (on which the food, cutlery, etc. are located) are inserted on rails attached to the side (left and right) of the trolley. The trolley can therefore only be reloaded directly by inserting the individual trays. It is time-consuming and requires adequate space (also in terms of freedom of movement) when loading. The security of the individual parts (food, drinks, cutlery, etc.) is inadequate with the previous systems, since they are on the (open) tray. This can lead to problems, including overturning, spilling, etc., not only when being transported in a trolley, but also when eating the food.

The present invention consists of • a transport container (so-called tray container; figure 1, partial view 3 and figure 2) and • the individual packaging for food portions (so-called tray boxes; figure 1, partial view 2 and figure 3) with which it is filled.

4. Die Abbildungen zeigen im Einzelnen:4. The illustrations show in detail:

Teilansicht 2Side view of a trolley, loaded with four TrayContainers, these in turn loaded with TrayBoxes (whereby in each TrayContainer there are three TrayBoxes next to each other; depending on the size of the trolley and the desired loading form, it can be loaded with different numbers of TrayContainers); plus front view and isometry. The view shows a closed TrayContainer, secured for transport and loaded with TrayBoxes. This is pushed into the respective trolley.

Fig. 3 shows in partial view 1 a closed TrayBox and in partial view 2 an open TrayBox with the variable transport and slip protections, which are based on the size of the inserts, the level support surface, which is used when eating the food as a - also slip-proof - storage can be and the broken seal.

Fig. 4 shows a loaded trolley. In the lower area there is a tray container with safety device, in the above part this has already been removed.

The present invention »makes it possible for the first time to refill a trolley quickly by inserting or replacing the tray container, which means that the trolley can be refilled immediately and in just a few steps, for example even within an aircraft aisle, without the need to remove the individual trays with limited space, o whereby the system is also suitable for existing trolleys and • due to the arrangement and design of the TrayBoxes, there is space for twice or three times the number of meal portions compared to conventional loading in trolleys (even without changing them technically),

• die TrayBox bei Aufklappen zu einer Essensunterlage wird,• the TrayBox becomes a food pad when opened,

• die TrayBox durch ihre Innengestaltung ein Verrücken der einzelnen Speisenbehältnisse sowohl während des Transports als auch bei Gebrauch durch den Gast (Passagier) ausschließt;• the interior design of the TrayBox prevents the individual food containers from moving both during transport and during use by the guest (passenger);

• the TrayBoxes can be designed as single or reusable packaging; in particular when using disposable packaging, there is also a considerable acceleration in the removal of leftovers or waste disposal.
