Abstract

Disclosed is an apparatus for making a bank around rice field, in which it is installed to a farm machine to gather up earth at one side with a single-time operation and thereby make the bank around the rice field. The apparatus includes a bank building unit 30 including an earth gathering portion 40 for gathering earth, a bank building portion 50 integrally formed with one side of the earth gathering portion 40, and a wing portion 60 integrally formed with the other side of the earth gathering portion 40; and a coupling unit 10 for coupling the apparatus with a farm machine.

Description

Description APPARATUS FOR MAKING BANK AROUND RICE FIELD Technical Field
[1] The present invention relates to an apparatus for making a bank around rice field, and more particularly, to an apparatus for making a bank around rice field, which can be attached to a farm machine and collect earth at one side thereof through a single- time operation, thereby making the bank around the rice field.
[2] Background Art
[3] In general, at the beginning of spring every year, rice fields have to be plowed to newly build banks at all sides of each rice field. A farmer generally shovels the earth to build the banks of the rice fields at present. When building the banks around the rice fields by shoveling the earth, for dampened rice fields, since the earth slides down together with water, it is difficult to build the bank. On the other hand, for dry rice fields, the farmer labors to shovel the earth. In addition, after scooping up the earth, the farmer has to smooth an upper portion of the bank with the shovel, which requires much time.
[4] The inventor has studied for an apparatus easily installed to a farm machine for building a bank around rice field. As a result, an apparatus for making a bank around a rice field has been developed to significantly reduce times and labors.
[5] Disclosure of Invention Technical Problem
[6] Therefore, the present invention has been made in view of the above-mentioned problems, and it is an object of the present invention to provide an apparatus for making a bank around rice field capable of significantly reducing times and labors.
[7] Another object of the present invention is to provide an apparatus for making a bank around rice field capable of gathering up earth and smoothing the bank by a single-time operation.
[8] Another object of the present invention is to provide an apparatus for making a bank around rice field capable of controlling a gathering amount of earth by adjusting a height of the apparatus.
[9] Technical Solution
[10] According to an aspect of the present invention, there is provided an apparatus for making a bank around rice field, including: a bank building unit including an earth gathering portion for gathering earth, a bank building portion integrally formed with one side of the earth gathering portion, and a wing portion integrally formed with the other side of the earth gathering portion; and a coupling unit for coupling the apparatus with a farm machine.
[11] The earth gathering portion includes a vertical plate upstanding perpendicular to an earth surface for guiding the gathered earth; and an inclined plate integrally formed with a lower portion of the vertical plate for directly contacting with the earth and gathering up the earth, in which the vertical plate is provided at a rear side thereof with a pair of coupling pipes spaced apart from each other, and the first and second coupling pipes are formed with threaded holes, respectively.
[12] The bank building portion includes a lateral side building plate integrally formed with one side of the earth gathering portion and extending in a direction opposite to the proceeding direction of the farm machine; and an upper side building portion mounted to the lateral side building portion and formed to have a shape corresponding to a shape of the bank, in which the lateral side building portion is formed with a pair of elongated holes, and the upper side building plate is formed with a through-hole at a position of the side corresponding to the elongated hole, so that the lateral side building plate and the upper building plate are engaged to each other by means of a fastening bolt and a nut.
[13] The coupling unit is a rectangular support frame which includes: a front rim adjacent to a farm machine; first and second side rims and extending in parallel backward from the front rim; and a rear rim for coupling rear ends of the first and second side rims, wherein a coupling bracket is mounted to the front rim to engage the front rim with the farm machine, the first side rim is provided at a one side of a bottom thereof with a first coupling rod inserted into the first coupling pipe of the earth gathering portion, and the first coupling rod is formed with a threaded hole corresponding to the threaded hole of the first coupling pipe, the second side rim is provided at a one side of a bottom thereof with a second coupling rod inserted into the second coupling pipe of the earth gathering portion, and the second coupling rod is formed with a threaded hole corresponding to the threaded hole of the second coupling pipe, and the second coupling rod is positioned behind the first coupling rod.
[14] The apparatus further includes a height adjusting unit for adjusting a height of the bank building unit. The height adjusting unit includes a polygonal body mounted to a rear center of the coupling unit; a polygonal sliding rod inserted into the polygonal body, provided at a bottom thereof with an auxiliary wheel freely rotating at an angle of 360° and formed with a threaded hole along an axial direction from an upper portion to an interior; and an adjusting lever having a length adjusting bolt threaded engaged to the threaded hole. [23] FIG. 1 is a perspective view of an apparatus for making a bank around rice field according to the present invention, and FIG. 2 is an exploded perspective view illustrating a portion of the apparatus according to the present invention.
[24] As shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, the apparatus for making the bank around the rice field according to the present invention includes a bank building unit 30 for gathering up earth to build the bank, a coupling unit 10 for coupling the apparatus with a farm machine, and a height adjusting unit 20 for adjusting a height of the bank building unit 30.
[25] The bank building unit 30 includes an earth gathering portion 40, a bank building portion 50 integrally formed with one side of the earth gathering portion 40, and a wing portion 60 integrally formed with the other side of the earth gathering portion 40.
[26] The earth gathering portion 40 has a vertical plate 41 upstanding perpendicular to a ground for guiding the gathered earth, and an inclined plate 43 integrally formed with a lower portion of the vertical plate 41 for directly contacting with the earth and gathering up the earth. The inclined plate 43 is inclined towards a proceeding direction of the farm machine 200 from the vertical plate 41. Preferably, the inclined plate 43 is inclined at an angle of 45°relative to the vertical plate 41.
[27] The vertical plate 41 is provided at a rear side thereof (i.e., opposite to the proceeding direction of the farm machine) with a pair of coupling pipes 61 and 67 spaced apart from each other. The first and second coupling pipes 61 and 67 are formed with threaded holes 63, respectively.
[28] The bank building portion 50 has a lateral side building plate 51 integrally formed with one side of the earth gathering portion 40, and an upper side building portion 53 mounted to the lateral side building portion 51. The lateral side building plate 51 is extending in a direction opposite to the proceeding direction of the farm machine 200. The lateral side building portion 51 is formed with a pair of elongated holes 52 for engaging with the upper side building plate 53. Preferably, the upper side building plate 53 is formed to have a shape corresponding to a shape of the bank. The upper side building plate 53 is formed with a through-hole 54 at a position of the side corresponding to the elongated hole 52.
[29] The lateral side building plate 51 and the upper building plate 53 are engaged to each other by means of a fastening bolt 57 and a nut 58.
[30] The wing portion 60 is integrally formed with the earth gathering portion 40 in such a way that it is extending towards the proceeding direction of the farm machine at an obtuse angle relative to the earth gathering portion 40. The wing portion 60 functions to prevent the earth from flowing out when gathering the earth.
[31] The coupling unit 10 functions to connect the bank building unit 30 with the farm machine 200, and may have various shapes, if necessary. In this embodiment, it will be described a rectangular support frame 11 as one example.
[32] The support frame 11 includes a front rim 111 adjacent to the farm machine 200, first and second side rims 113 and 115 extending backward in parallel from the front rim 111, and a rear rim 117 for coupling rear ends of the first and second side rims 113 and 115.
[33] A coupling bracket 15 is mounted to the front rim 111 to engage the later with a coupling portion (not shown) positioned at the rear of the farm machine 200. The coupling bracket 15 is formed with a plurality of bolt holes 16.
[34] The first side rim 113 is provided at a one side of a bottom thereof with a first coupling rod 12 inserted into the first coupling pipe 61 of the earth gathering portion 40. The first coupling rod 12 is formed with a threaded hole 13 corresponding to the threaded hole 63 of the first coupling pipe 61.
[35] The second side rim 115 is provided at a one side of a bottom thereof with a second coupling rod 14 inserted into the second coupling pipe 67 of the earth gathering portion 40. The second coupling rod 14 is formed with a threaded hole 13 corresponding to the threaded hole 63 of the second coupling pipe 67.
[36] The second coupling rod 14 has to be positioned behind the first coupling rod 12. The bank building portion 50 of the bank building unit 30 has to be positioned behind the wing portion 60 so that the gathered earth is easily moved towards the bank of the rice field. [37] After the threaded holes 13 of the first and second coupling rods 12 and 14 are aligned with the threaded holes 63 of the first and second coupling pipes 61 and 67, the coupling rods are engaged with the coupling pipes by use of a fastening bolt 65, thereby coupling the bank building unit 30 with the coupling unit 10.
[38] The height adjusting unit 20 is mounted to the rear rim 117. As shown in FIG. 3, the height adjusting unit 20 has a polygonal body 21 mounted to a center of the rear rim 117. A polygonal sliding rod 23 is inserted into the polygonal body 21. The sliding rod 23 is provided at a bottom thereof with an auxiliary wheel 29 freely rotating at an angle of 360° and is formed with a threaded hole 24 along an axial direction from an upper portion to an interior. A length adjusting bolt 27 is threaded engaged to the threaded hole 24, and the length adjusting bolt 27 is provided at an upper portion thereof with an adjusting lever 25. The height adjusting bolt 27 is moved up and down by rotating the adjusting lever 25, thereby adjusting a height of the bank building unit 30 from the earth surface.
[39] Operation of the apparatus according to the present invention will now be described in detail.
[40] As shown in FIG. 4, when the farm machine, for example, cultivator, coupled with the bank building unit 30 by the coupling unit 10 is moved, the earth is gathered by the inclined plate 43 of the earth gathering portion 40 contacting with the earth surface, and the gathered earth is transferred towards the bank building portion 50 by the vertical plate 41.
[41] The transferred earth enters into the lower portion of the upper side building plate 53 to build the bank, and the bank is smoothed by the lateral side building plate 51 and the upper side building plate 53.
[42] Meanwhile, for dampened rice fields, the earth is pushed up by the inclined plate 43 of the earth gathering portion 40, with the bank building portion 50 being detached from the bank building unit 30. After the earth is dried in a certain degree, the bank may be again built by use of the bank building portion 50.
[43] While this invention has been described in connection with what is presently considered to be the most practical and preferred embodiment, it is to be understood that the invention is not limited to the disclosed embodiment and the drawings, but, on the contrary, it is intended to cover various modifications and variations within the spirit and scope of the appended claims.
[44] Industrial Applicability
[45] As can be seen from the foregoing, according to the present invention provides, the process of building the bank around the rice field can be operated by the machine at once, thereby solving labor shortages in agricultural districts.
[46] In addition, the apparatus of the present invention can easily adjust the height of the apparatus depending on a gathering amount of the earth.
[47] Also, components of the apparatus of the present invention may be separately kept, and be partially replaced with another when break down or damage, thereby significantly reducing cost.

Claims
[1] An apparatus for making bank around rice field, comprising: a bank building unit 30 including an earth gathering portion 40 for gathering earth, a bank building portion 50 integrally formed with one side of the earth gathering portion 40, and a wing portion 60 integrally formed with the other side of the earth gathering portion 40; and a coupling unit 10 for coupling the apparatus with a farm machine.
[2] The apparatus according to claim 1, wherein the earth gathering portion 40 comprises: a vertical plate 41 upstanding perpendicular to an earth surface for guiding the gathered earth; and an inclined plate 43 integrally formed with a lower portion of the vertical plate 41 for directly contacting with the earth and gathering up the earth, wherein the vertical plate 41 is provided at a rear side thereof with a pair of coupling pipes 61 and 67 spaced apart from each other, and the first and second coupling pipes 61 and 67 are formed with threaded holes 63, respectively.
[3] The apparatus according to claim 1 or 2, wherein the bank building portion 50 comprises: a lateral side building plate 51 integrally formed with one side of the earth gathering portion 40 and extending in a direction opposite to the proceeding direction of the farm machine 200; and an upper side building portion 53 mounted to the lateral side building portion 51 and formed to have a shape corresponding to a shape of the bank, wherein the lateral side building portion 51 is formed with a pair of elongated holes 52, and the upper side building plate 53 is formed with a through-hole 54 at a position of the side corresponding to the elongated hole 52, so that the lateral side building plate 51 and the upper building plate 53 are engaged to each other by means of a fastening bolt 57 and a nut 58.
[4] The apparatus according to claim 3, wherein the coupling unit 10 is a rectangular support frame 11 which includes: a front rim 111 adjacent to a farm machine 200; first and second side rims 113 and 115 extending in parallel backward from the front rim 111; and a rear rim 117 for coupling rear ends of the first and second side rims 113 and 115, wherein a coupling bracket 15 is mounted to the front rim 111 to engage the front rim 111 with the farm machine 200, the first side rim 113 is provided at a one side of a bottom thereof with a first coupling rod 12 inserted into the first coupling pipe 61 of the earth gathering portion 40, and the first coupling rod 12 is formed with a threaded hole 13 corresponding to the threaded hole 63 of the first coupling pipe 61, the second side rim 115 is provided at a one side of a bottom thereof with a second coupling rod 14 inserted into the second coupling pipe 67 of the earth gathering portion 40, and the second coupling rod 14 is formed with a threaded hole 13 corresponding to the threaded hole 63 of the second coupling pipe 67, and the second coupling rod 14 is positioned behind the first coupling rod 12.
[5] The apparatus according to claim 1, further comprising a height adjusting unit 20 for adjusting a height of the bank building unit 30.
[6] The apparatus according to claim 5, wherein the height adjusting unit 20 comprises: a polygonal body 21 mounted to a rear center of the coupling unit 10; a polygonal sliding rod 23 inserted into the polygonal body 21, provided at a bottom thereof with an auxiliary wheel 29 freely rotating at an angle of 360° and formed with a threaded hole 24 along an axial direction from an upper portion to an interior; and an adjusting lever 25 having a length adjusting bolt 27 threaded engaged to the threaded hole 24.
