Abstract

A functional element of siah-lb that directly interacts with p53 is discloses. Also disclosed are methods of screening compounds useful in the treatment, prevention or management of cancer or a neurodegenerative disorder based on the interaction between p53 and the functional element, and methods of treating, preventing or managing cancer or a neurodegenerative disorder using the compounds so screened.
