Abstract

Es ist ein Verfahren zur Messung eines Füllstandes (7) eines Füllgutes (1) in einem Behälter (3) und zur Überwachung mindestens eines vor­gegebenen Füllstands (L min, L max) mit einem nach dem Laufzeitprinzip ar­beitenden Füllstandsmeßgerät (5) sowie ein entsprechendes Füllstandsmeßgerät (5) vorgesehen, wobei die Überwachung hohen Sicherheitsstandards genügt, bei dem in jedem Meßzyklus Sendesignale (S) in Richtung des Füllgutes (l.) gesendet und deren Echosignale (E) empfangen werden, anhand der Echosignale (E) in einem ersten Auswerteverfahren der Füllstand (7) bestimmt wird, und anhand der Echosignale (E) in einem zweiten von dem ersten Auswerteverfahren unabhängigen Auswerteverfahren bestimmt wird, ob der Füllstand die vorgegebenen Füllstände (Lmin , Lmax ) über- oder unterschreitet.
