Abstract

An information distribution system for a passenger conveyance is disclosed and includes an optical transmission unit (22) configured to receive one or more electrical signals from one or more information sources and convert the signals to one or more optical signals, at least one area distribution device in communication with optical transmission unit (22) and configured to receive and convert the optical signals, and one or more information display units in communication with the area distribution device and configured to present the electrical signals to a passenger.
