Abstract

A nuclear fuel and a method for producing a nuclear fuel wherein a porous uranium dioxide arrangement (10) is provided, the arrangement (10) is infiltrated with a precursor liquid (12) and the arrangement (10) with the infiltrated precursor liquid (12) are thermally treated such that the precursor liquid (12) is converted to a second phase.
