AUTOMATICALLY WEBSITE CONNECTING SYSTEM KEYWORD AND CONTROL METHOD THEREOF
Technical Field The present invention relates in general to an automatic website connection system using a keyword and a control method thereof. More particularly, the present invention relates to an automatic website connection system using a keyword and a control method thereof, wherein an intername program installed in a user computer provides the user with a normal, speedy access to a corresponding website the user wants to access, not using a server but simply using user inputted values of diverse undefined keywords like Hangul, foreign languages, and symbols.
Background Art A related art automatic conversion technique for a website connecting system relies on a server or DNS (Domain Name System). However, the related art technique is limited by server environments and during normal operation, it could affect a client in many ways. Also, the speed is noticeably lowered if an intermediate server is involved. A further problem of the related art technique for website connection is associated with the fact that an input value of a browser is sent unconditionally to the DNS or the server and a related value thereof is returned again. Therefore, if web hacking or power failure occurs, the server environments cannot provide their normal operations and users are faced with the adverse consequences of abnormal operations.

Disclosure of Invention It is, therefore, an object of the present invention to provide an automatic website connecting system using a keyword and a control method thereof, wherein for fast website access without being influenced of server environments, a specific program is installed in a user computer so that a user inputs an input value of keyword to extract a database storing website information. To achieve the above object, there is provided an automatic website connection control method using a keyword, the method including the steps of: installing an intername program having a keyword search tool, a keyword setup tool, a DB conversion tool, an upgrade tool, an address window monitor tool, and common and personal databases, and establishing common and personal databases for changing a keyword to a URL; distributing the intername program with common and personal databases to a personal computer over Internet; installing in the personal computer the intername program with common and personal databases; inputting a keyword to a web browser address window; registering a new keyword to an input keyword box of the intername program installed in the personal computer; if the keyword is inputted to the intername program installed in the personal computer, displaying a keyword edit window; editing, adding or deleting keywords and URLs in the keyword edit window; and as extracted values
form the common and personal databases are changed, automatically moving to a corresponding website to the keyword inputted to the web browser.
Industrial Applicability The automatic website connecting system using a keyword and the control method thereof have the following advantages.
Connection speed to a desired website is increased by using a keyword input value for specific automatic conversion, and the user does no longer need to do ineffective web surfing. The system is easily embodied in the computer so that the user does not need to purchase an extra server for conversion.
Lastly, the right on the program administration mode is not limited to the administrator. In effect, it is given to the user as well. Thus, the user is allowed to create his own keyword environment in his computer for administering and controlling the program administration. In other words, any one can easily use the automatic website connection system of the present invention, and for this reason, the system will be able to contribute to the improvement of software industries.
Best Mode for Carrying Out the Invention
A preferred embodiment of the present invention will now be described with reference to the accompanying drawings.
Fig. 1 is a schematic block diagram of an automatic website connecting system using a keyword and a control method thereof, according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention. As shown in Fig. 1, when a user computer
100 authenticates an administrator computer 300 to install a program, the administrator computer 300 installs the program in the user computer 100, and at
the same time common and personal databases for use in conversion for address link are established. Therefore, when the user inputs a keyword to his computer 100, hoping to access to a corresponding website 200, the automatic website connecting system immediately converts the keyword to an address of the corresponding website 200 on the basis of a DB value installed in his computer, not using a server, and provides a corresponding web page to the user.
Fig. 2 is a flow chart explaining a control method of the automatic website connecting system using a keyword, according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention, in which the control method includes the steps of: installing an intername program and establishing common and personal databases for changing a keyword to a URL (S10); distributing the intername program with common and personal databases to a personal computer over Internet (S20); installing in the personal computer the intername program with common and personal databases (S30); inputting a keyword to a web browser address window (S40); registering a new keyword to an input keyword box of the intername program installed in the personal computer (S50); if the keyword is inputted to the intername program installed in the personal computer, displaying a keyword edit window (S60); editing, adding or deleting keywords and URLs in the keyword edit window (S70); and as extracted values form the common and personal databases are changed, moving to a corresponding website to the keyword inputted to the web browser (S80).
More specifically, in step 10 where the intername program is installed in the user computer and common and personal databases are established to change a keyword to a URL, it is the intername program that automatically changes keywords to websites. That is, when the user inputs a keyword to a URL address window, the intername program searches the common and personal databases to obtain a website address corresponding to the keyword and if found, it provides
the corresponding website to the user. For establishing the common and personal databases, IP addresses are not sufficient to remember every website so URLs are applied to overcome the limitation of IP address. Likewise, in the present invention a URL, a keyword, and an IP address are in correspondence to each other, i.e. keyword=URL=ff address.
Meanwhile, as for the keyword, Hangul, English, other foreign languages, derivatives, combining characters, symbols, special characters, and emoticons commercialized over Internet communication can be used. Particularly, the intername program includes the common DB composed of input values of keywords suitable for well-known websites, and the personal DB composed of input values of keywords suitable for personally favorite websites, and any one can download the program over the net.
As mentioned above, the established intername program with the common and personal databases is distributed to personal computers over the Internet (S20). Therefore, the program is distributed for any one to be able to download it to the personal computer, not to a server.
As shown in Fig. 3, to install the intername program including the common and personal databases to the personal computer (S30), an execution file shown for the intername program needs to be executed first to install the intername program 400 downloaded through an on-line communication means. When the intername program 400 is installed, the common and personal databases are also established at the same time.
Then the user inputs a keyword to the web browser address window (S40). For example, suppose that the user inputs "KOREA" as a keyword to the web browser address window 20 as shown in Fig. 4. If no information is searched out, the intername program 400 registers the "KOREA" to a keyword input box 10 as a new keyword.
The keyword does not need to be Hangul all the time. Li effect, a variety of characters including English and other languages, symbols, derivatives, combining characters, special characters, emoticons, and extension can be used as keyword input values. Referring again to Fig. 4, when the user inputs "KOREA" to the input keyword box 10 (S50) of the intername program, the intername program installed in the personal computer stores the new keyword in the personal DB.
When the input keyword is inputted to the intername program installed in the personal computer, a keyword edit window is displayed (S60). Since the keyword "KOREA" of step 50 is not yet stored in the DB, it is necessary to register the keyword and its corresponding USL to the personal DB. For instance, the user inputs "KOREA" to the keyword input box 10, and clicks a keyword register button 30. Then the keyword edit window 40 is displayed.
Next, a keyword and a URL are edited, added and deleted in the keyword edit window 40 (S70) as shown in Fig. 6. Here, a plurality of keywords indicating the same place in a web browser is inputted and when the user inputs one of the keywords, a corresponding website is accessed. To register a keyword, the user first clicks an edit click button 70-1 in the keyword edit window 40. Then a keyword and URL setup window 50 is displayed and the user inputs a keyword and a URL to a keyword setup box 60-1 and a URL input box 60-2, respectively. Therefore, when the user inputs the keyword to the address box of the web browser, he can easily access to a designated website for the URL. Further, when the user wants to add a keyword, he needs to click an add click button 70-2 in the keyword edit window 20, and inputs the keyword to be deleted and the URL as described above. Lastly, when the user wants to delete a keyword, he needs to click the objective keyword and URL in the keyword and URL lists arrayed in the keyword edit window 20, to designate them
for deletion, and to click a delete click button 70-3 again, thereby deleting a designated list.
On the other hand, the user is not only able to change the keyword and the
URL itself in the keyword and URL setup window 50, but also allowed to input a new keyword to the keyword setup box 60-1 and to give the same URL address thereto. In this manner, the user is able to access the same web browser using a plurality of keywords.
The keyword inputted to the web browser is then changed in the common and personal databases and thus, a corresponding website is accessed directly (S80). Although the user is accessed to another Internet site now, once he inputs a keyword to the web browser address window 20, he can move to a designated URL immediately. That is to say, as shown in Fig. 7, if the user inputs the keyword "KOREA", the personal DB in his PC searches the keyword without going through a separate conversion server. And, through the URL designated to the keyword "KOREA", a corresponding website to the "KOREA" is accessed.
To be more specific, if the user inputs a keyword to the web browser address window, the intername program installed in his computer searches the keyword in the personal DB and the common DB, and if there is the keyword, its corresponding Internet address is accessed. However, if the keyword is not found, the traditional method should be applied. At this time, if he wants, the user could register the keyword to the personal DB. In that case, the above- described S50 to S70 are carried out, and the keyword is registered to the personal DB.
In short, instead of going through a related art site conversion server, the intername program of the invention, it being independent of external environment conditions, enables the user to access to a desired Internet site with the help of the common and personal databases installed in the user's personal computer. The
common and personal databases are respectively classified into Hangul DB, multi-language DB, and extension DB. In so doing, time to search diverse keywords that are often composed of Hangul, English, symbols and special characters can be greatly reduced. In other words, according to the automatic website connecting system with the above DB of the invention, when the user inputs various keyword input values to the web browser address window, his PC, in response to the result value, allows the user to speedily access to a corresponding website. Through this, the administrator is able to provide stable, continuous connecting services by means of the user PC, and creates' a close marketing cooperation with the corresponding website.
Fig. 8 is a block diagram of a program tool for use in the automatic website connecting system using a keyword, according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention. Referring to Fig. 8, the intername program tool 80 includes a keyword search tool 81, a keyword value setup tool 82, a DB conversion tool 86, an upgrade tool 83, an address window monitor tool 85, and common and personal DBs 84.
When the user inputs a keyword to the web browser address window, the keyword search tool 81 searches the in the personal DB. If there is an URL address corresponding to the input keyword, the keyword search tool 81 outputs the URL address, but if the URL address does not exist, the keyword search tool 81 searches the common DB again. If the corresponding URL address to the keyword is in the common DB, the keyword search tool 81 outputs the URL address, but if the URL address is not even in the common DB, the traditional method is applied. At this time, if the user wants to register or add the keyword, he can do this also by means of the keyword setup tool 82.
Therefore, if a keyword is not found in both common and personal DBs,
the keyword setup tool 82 inputs the keyword and its corresponding URL address to the personal DB established in the user PC, thereby upgrading the personal DB.
If the input keyword is extracted from the common DB or the personal DB, the DB conversion tool 86 converts the keyword to its corresponding URL address.
The upgrade tool 83 updates the data of the common DB because the number of new keywords and websites continuously increases.
As described above, the common and personal DBs are divided into the Hangul DB, the multi-language DB, and the extension DB, respectively. Therefore, the address window monitor tool 85 monitors to which DB among the Hangul DB, the multi-language DB, and extension DB the input keyword corresponds, and searches its URL address in a corresponding DB, thereby making an easy website access.
The common and personal DBs 84 is where the intername program stores predetermined values for keyword-to-URL conversion and if the user wants, any modified values in positions.
Figs. 9 to 10 respectively illustrates an administration mode of the intername program according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention. Particularly, Fig. 9 illustrates the keyword administration mode, and Fig. 10 illustrates the update administration mode.
Referring to Fig. 9, a keyword administration unit 90 includes a keyword list 92 storing a plurality of keywords; a URL list 93 storing a plurality of URLs; a search window 91 for searching the keyword list 92, the URL list 93, service start date, and service end date; and a register window 94 to which the user registers keyword, URL, service start date, and service end date.
Referring to Fig. 10, an update administration unit 95 includes an update file date list 97 indicating a date of an updated file; a result list 96 indicating
keywords and URLs to be modified; an administration window 98 for establishing the modified list to a DB and updating the same; and a specific modification window 99 for specifying and modifying each list. It should be noted that the administration modes illustrated in Figs. 9 and 10 do not concern the user's favorite keywords and URLs.
While the invention has been shown and described with reference to certain preferred embodiments thereof, it will be understood by those skilled in the art that various changes in form and details may be made therein without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention as defined by the appended claims.
