Abstract

After harvesting, it is customary to fill sacks with cotton or to package the cotton by wrapping it with webs made of fibers. The material of the packaging usually consists of a synthetic fiber. The aim of the invention is to form a material web made of cotton, to compact this material web over the surface, preferably by means of hydrodynamic needling, and then to manufacture the web used for packaging cotton.
