Abstract

The invention relates to a display device (1) for a display unit, comprising at least one elongate frame part (2) for fastening the display unit, the upper face (3) being embodied asymmetric to the central longitudinal axis (M) of the frame part (2). The aim of the invention is to create a display device that can be produced in a simple and inexpensive manner while being usable for many different applications. Said aim is achieved by providing the two longitudinal walls (4, 5) of the bottom face of the frame part (2) with a recess which extends across the entire length of the frame part, is shaped as a step (6, 7), and overlaps the display unit.
