- Yet another object of the present invention is to provide such an apparatus for removing corns, callosities and the like from the skin, which can be easily made and is very competitive from a mere economic standpoint.
- an apparatus for removing corns, callosities and the like comprising a cylindric rotating tool, having an abrading surface, coupled to a handle body, characterized in .that said apparatus further comprises driving means for controllably rotatively driving said rotating tool.

- the apparatus for removing corns, callosities and the like from the skin comprises a handle 2, having preferably an elongated configuration and supporting, at one end portion thereof, a rotating or rotary tool having an abrading surface designed for providing an abrading action.
- the main feature of the invention is that the abrading surface 3 is formed on a cylindric tool, generally indicated by the reference number 4, which can rotate about its pivot axis, as driven by driving means 6, power supplied by batteries 7, which are housed in the inside of the body of the handle 2 and are controlled by a conventional controlling switch 8.
- the motor 6 is coupled to the shaft 5 of a roller 4 having an abrading surface 3, through a transmission belt 10, coupling a driving pulley 11 and driven pulley 12, which have parallel axes and being applied on the axis of the motor 6 and on the shaft 5.
- the abrading surface which can comprise unevennesses or cutting elements, is caused to turn, thereby removing, by abrading, the callosities, in a very simple manner, without the need of applying efforts.
- the driving means 6, as is clearly shown in figures 10 and 11, can be directly provided axially aligned with the cylinder 4, having the abrading surface 3, thereby providing the same functionality.
- the motor 6 can also comprise a motor reducing unit, in order to rotate the cylindric element 4 with a suitably reduced speed.
- the invention provides an apparatus, including a cylindric tool 4, the abrading surface 3 of which is driven by driving means 6, thereby corns and callosities can be removed in a very simple and quick manner.
- the used materials provided that they are compatible with the intended use, as well as the contingent size and shapes, can be any, depending on requirements.
