Abstract

Selon l'invention, un substrat poreux destiné à l'impression jet d'encre à base de solvant organique, peut être revêtu d'une composition répulsive pour former une surface de substrat revêtu qui est compatible avec une impression jet d'encre à base de solvant de qualité supérieure. La surface du substrat revêtu peut avoir un effet répulsif sur le solvant de butoxyéthyl acétate à un angle de contact compris entre environ 40 et environ 90 degrés à température ambiante. Dans certains modes de réalisation, la composition répulsive comprend un polymère de fluorocarbone ou un uréthane. Une encre à base de solvant appliquée sur le substrat poreux, forme des gouttelettes qui, sous l'effet de la chaleur, conduisent au dépôt d'encre de manière contrôlée et favorable, sur la surface du substrat traité. Une matière de latex à base d'acrylate peut éventuellement être utilisée dans la composition répulsive. Un substrat imprimé produit d'après l'invention, se caractérise par une impression claire, nette et de qualité élevée.
