Abstract

Unfinished lenses (1), semi-finished lens including optical coatings or a transmission altering layer (4) and methods of manufacturing are described. The unfinished lens includes an optical coating and a surface (2) configured to receive a curve. Non-prescriptive and prescriptive lenses can be made by the method.
