Abstract

The present object refers to a novel and functional system destined to the obtaintion of data concerning the audience and research in a group of residences, filling the data in a time established in a local memory inside the URAA (remote unit for obtention of the audience) and afterwards, transmitting their data to a central station, by means of the cellular telephone net of the region. After the central station having received the data from URAA'S, they will be ordered in a way as to supply audience reports minute by minute, from fifteen to fifteen minutes, from hour to hour, or in the time required, as also to file and assort the answers given by residences.

Description

1 "CELLULAR SYSTEM USED TO OBTAIN THE AUDIENCE AND
2 RESEARCH DATA ON TV AT HOME"
3 DISCLOSURE OF THE PATENT
4 The present object refers to a novel and functional system destined to the
5 obtaintion of data concerning the audience and research in a group of
6 residences, filling the data in a time established in a local memory inside the
7 URAA (remote unit for obtaintion of the audience) and afterwards, transmitting
8 their data to a central station, by means of the cellular telephone net of the
9 region. After the central station having received the data from URAA'S, they o will be ordered in a way as to supply audience reports minute by minute, from i fifteen to fifteen minutes, from hour to hour, or in the time required, as also to 2 file and assort the answers given by residences. i 3 The object at issue is destined to the obtaintion of data concerning i 4 audience and research in a group of residences, and filling these data by 5 established period of time in a local memory inside the URAA. When the 6 televiewer selects a channel in the URAA (remote unit for the obtaintion of 7 audience), a CPU will verify which channel was chosen and every minute it will s register in the memory RAM the hour and the channel that were tuned. These 9 data will be stored and may be withdrawn from this memory at the moment the 0 central station requests. This request will be made as follows: the number 1 called from the internal cellular of the URAA will be called by the audience 2 central, the CPU will answer to the call and by means of a modem will connect 3 the unit to the central computer. Once the communication is established, the 4 central computer will withdraw the data contained in the memory RAM as well 5 as it will check the time of the internal clock of the URAA. This connection with 6 the central, may be done in intervals of time better suitable for the central. The 7 forwarding of the questions and the obtaintion of the answers: the question will 8 be prepared by the central computer and in a terminal, and may be sent to the 9 URAA's at any moment and received at the residences, they will show in the 0 display of each URAA in the residences, at that time, a led or sound signal will remain until the questions are answered by means of the keyboard, and the answers will be and remain stored in the URAA's until the central station requests the data. This central station will perform the following task: to ask all the URAA's with the aim to obtain their data, since the computer at the central station will have a program destined to manage the modems, as well as a data bank with the numbers of all cellulars. The user will count the number of times this computer is connected to the many URAA's. The number of modems will depend on the number of URAA's and on the number of lines used. From these two factors will depend the time of clearance for the samples at the system. To create a data bank as from the data collected in the URAA's, since the computer will maintain in its hard disk all the data collected at the URAA's by the time it is deemed necessary, before and after the reports. In these data we will have: schedule of time, channels, residence, social bracket, who answered the question, etc. To issue reports based in the forms guided by a research institute, such as: audience by minute, from fifteen minutes, by qualification, as well as charts and data on the received answers, based on the data bank previously described and reports will be issued to be implemented in the system as applicatives and those may be altered in a way to better suit the institute or issuing agency. Many disturbances will be eliminated with these systems, since the checking and collection of data in a research do not need to be done from home to home in a conventional expensive system and with the work of many persons. By means of this system, each URAA installed in a residence may collect and check the questions of any research institute or television network, with varied subjects such as: politics, preferences, television programs, etc. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS For a perfect visualization and understanding of the "CELLULAR SYSTEM USED TO OBTAIN THE AUDIENCE AND RESEARCH DATA ON TV AT HOME" at issue, follows some illustrative drawings where: The figure 1 - presents a view of the block scheme of the object at issue. The figure 2 - presents a view of the block scheme of the URAA's that is a part of the object at issue; The figure 3 - presents a view of the block scheme of the central station that is part of the object at issue. DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PATENT According to the illustration and in its details, the "CELLULAR SYSTEM USED TO OBTAIN THE AUDIENCE AND RESEARCH DATA ON TV AT HOME", now at issue, characterizes by being constituted by a system of obtaintion of data on audience and research in a group of residences (1), filling these data by a given time in a local memory (2) inside the URAA (3) and transmitting their data to a central station (4) by means of a net of cellular telephone system (5) provided with a central computer (6) with a permanent program destined to make questions to all URAA's (3) with the aim to obtain their data, issue reports from time to time by its printing unit (6A), menaging the modems(7) and creating a data bank, having each URAA (3) a tuner (8) with adjustment of the reception by means of a VHF/UHF antenna (9) with a modulator (10) which receives the signals from the TV set (11), one CPU (12) stores the data in the memory RAM (2) provided with a display (13) and with a keyboard (14) with an internal cellular set (5A) with captation of signal by cellular antenna (15), also having an interface of communication (16) of the data sent via modem (7) and forwarded to the computer (6). Due to the advantages it offers and by presenting truly innovative features, the "CELLULAR SYSTEM USED TO OBTAIN THE AUDIENCE AND RESEARCH DATA ON TV AT HOME", gathers the necessary conditions to deserve the Privilege of Invention Patent.
