Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé et un système d'extraction qui permettent de supprimer les ions métalliques présents dans des flux aqueux. Ce système d'extraction comprend au moins une unité et de préférence une pluralité d'unités d'extraction constituées d'un lit rempli d'un mélange volumétrique d'un matériau échangeur d'ions et d'un matériau inerte. De préférence, le mélange comprend entre environ 90 et 50 % en volume d'un matériau échangeur d'ions et entre environ 10 et 50 % en volume d'un matériau sensiblement inerte. Ce procédé est conçu pour fonctionner à un taux d'écoulement relativement élevé, de préférence entre environ 1,5 et environ 5 fois supérieur au taux d'écoulement d'un flux qui n'est pas équipé du présent système d'extraction.
