Abstract

The packing container for biological products, in particular blood, permits the transport and storage thereof for a given period at a storage temperature which is essentially constant and below ambient temperature. The container comprises an external shell (1) of a form suitable for transport, enclosing a box containing the biological product. An insulating material (3) fills at least a part of the included space between said box (2) and the external walls of the shell (1). The box (2) is contained in a hollow chamber (4) which is essentially spherical containing a pre-solidified material the melting point of which is substantially the same as the storage temperature desired for said biological products.
