Abstract
Description
Griff für Gebrauchsgegenstände Handle for everyday items
DasThe invention relates to a flexible, manually steplessly controllable handle for everyday objects. The
The field of application of the invention is the production and use of a wide variety of commodities.
Immovable and rigid handles are well known in the art. They enable reliable handling of the relevant equipment on easily accessible work surfaces.
However, the use of rigid handles is always problematic where the actual work surface is covered or cannot be reached directly due to barriers and access is therefore only possible through narrow gaps, narrow niches or around corners. It is no longer possible to use conventional everyday items effectively, which cannot be adapted to local conditions. This problem is particularly evident in cleaning tasks, for example.
To ensure thorough dental care, it is absolutely necessary to reach all interdental spaces in the mouth. So far, attempts have been made to solve this problem by using handles of various degrees equipped with so-called contra angles. The toothbrushes are equipped with oscillating heads and give in under pressure. The users of such toothbrushes therefore have no control over the angle of inclination of the brush head. This does not guarantee targeted working with pressure or reaching all niches in the mouth area. The present invention is based on the problem of enabling comfortable working on these hidden or difficult to access work surfaces.
This problem is solved according to the features of the main claim. The dependent claims 2-12 represent advantageous embodiments of the invention.
The advantage achieved with the invention is, in particular, that the handle of the everyday object can be adapted to the current application situation with only one hand. It is no longer necessary to set down the tool, for example to readjust the angle.
When used as a toothbrush handle, the user can regulate both the angularity of the brush head and the cleaning pressure himself by bringing the handle according to the invention into an S shape and thereby stabilizing it. Deforming the toothbrush handle gives children a special haptic pleasure and therefore increases the joy of dental care considerably.
For this purpose, the handle (1) consists of two flexible straps (2) firmly connected at the ends to one another in a conventional manner and at least one, usually several, spacers (3) located between the straps (2). Instead of two opposite belts (2) connected at the ends, an endless belt can also be used.
If the two opposing bands (2) now form the outer sides of the handle (1) and are consequently on one side by the thumb and on the other side by the pointing, middle, ring and given if they are held against each other by the little finger, a tool head (4) located at the tip of the handle is deflected from its rest position. The amplitude of the deflection can be regulated continuously by means of the strength of the pressure on the bands (2). After the shear pressure has ended, the handle (1) automatically returns to its original shape due to the use of elastic or spring bands (2). The tapes are made of a durable, flexible and springy material. Various metals and, especially because of their low weight, plastics appear particularly suitable for this.
It is preferred if the strips (2) are of the same length. In the idle state, the handle then forms a straight line, which is steered into an S-shape by the shear pressure exerted by the fingers on the handle. It is also preferred if the opposing bands (2) have different lengths. The greater the difference in length of the two opposing bands (2), the more the shape created under shear pressure resembles a J.
There is at least one spacer (3) between the bands. The spacers (3) remove the opposing bands (2) from one another to such an extent that they can be moved against one another without great effort or shear pressure.
It is preferred if the spacers (3) used have a cylindrical, spherical, barrel or roller shape and are hollow on the inside like pearls. The spacers (3) used can either be permanently connected to one or both bands (2). It is also possible to slide the spacers (3) between the two belts (2). It is particularly preferred if the diameters of the spacers (3) which are preferably used decrease towards the beginning and end of the handle and the handle (1) is thereby given a lancet-like outline.
In addition to the use of the handle described above for cutlery, instruments, devices, tools and other everyday objects, use as a toothbrush handle is particularly preferred.
Fig. 1 shows the schematic structure of the handle according to the invention. In Fig. La the handle is at rest. The deformation of the handle due to the applied shear pressure can be seen from FIG. 1b.
Fig. 2a zeigt die werkzeugkopfsei- tige, Fig. 2b eine alternierende und Fig. 2c eine demIn Fig. 2, the various possible definitions of the spacers (3) on the opposite bands (2) are shown. Fig. 3 shows a toothbrush with a flexible, manually steplessly controllable handle.
An embodiment of the handle is shown in Fig. 3 and will be described in more detail below.
Two elongated 1.2 mm thick polypropylene tapes 150 mm long and 10 mm wide at half length and 6 mm at the end are glued with three barrel-shaped polypropylene beads with a diameter of 5 mm. On the inside of one of the polypropylene straps, 13 further barrel beads are attached so that there is always the same distance between them one millimeter free. Starting from the edge, these are 4 beads with a diameter of 6.5 mm, 6 beads with a diameter of 8 mm and again 4 beads with a diameter of 6.5 mm. The brush head of the toothbrush is now glued to the polypropylene tape, to which no pearls are attached. Depending on requirements, the handle can also be covered with a flexible plastic skin for stabilization.
It is clear that the diameter of the spacers can also change continuously. It is preferred that the diameter becomes smaller towards the ends of the handle.
The gaps between the spacers are also responsible for the stability in the bend. The spacers are pressed against each other when the handle is actuated and thus cause the rigidity of the handle.
