Description
Device for reduction of hollow objects volume
Technical field
The invention relates to reduction of hollow objects transporting volume, especially volume of used plastic bottles and metal sheet thin-walled cans, which are used for distribution of liquids, for example drinks, liquid detergents or liquids for technical usage.
Description of prior art
It is known that the transporting volume of the waste, which is comprised of the hollow objects made of workable material can be reduced by pressing in presses or power hammers, in which the upper part of the machine moves against the static lower part. The disadvantage of using those machines for reduction of the transporting volume of used drink containers is a cyclic movement of the tool, which disallows a continual work and generally requires storage of more containers before their pressing. Another disadvantage is when some bottle is still closed then it is ruptured due to overpressure, which causes not only annoying acoustic effect but also splashing of the rests of bottle content around.
Disclosure of Invention
Disadvantages listed before are solved by the device for reduction of hollow objects volume, especially of the plastic and metal sheet thin- walled containers, which consist of the upper cone wheel and lower disc wheel. The matter of the invention is the lower disc wheel pivoted in lower bearing is deflected by angle from 5° to 40° towards upper cone wheel, which is pivoted in upper bearing. Upper frame with fixed upper bearing is flexibly connected to lower frame with fixed lower bearing, minimally in two points by couplers, each of which is equipped with silent block. At least the part of the friction area of cone wheel is equipped with lining made of resilient and pliable material, for example rubber, and the cone wheel is connected in rotary way to drive unit. The inlet, usefully equipped with contactless barrier, is placed on the splay side between lower disc wheel and upper cone wheel. Alternatively the axes of the lower and upper bearing are skew and their maximal distance is 5 mm. According to another alternative the knife with double-sided blade is attached to lower frame in maximal distance 20 mm from upper cone wheel periphery. According to another alternative the diameter of the disc wheel is bigger by 10 to 30 mm than diameter of the cone wheel. According to another alternative at least one of
couplers is equipped with length adjustment. According to another alternative the rotary knife is placed between inlet and contact surface of both wheels. According to another alternative the drive unit is connected to frequency inverter. According to another alternative the rotary knife is connected to shaft, on which the transmission wheel is attached, that is in mesh with upper cone wheel. According to another alternative the rotary knife is equipped with independent motor.
The advantage of the invention is especially that the device is started automatically when the object, which has to be pressed, is inserting to the inlet. Also the shutoff of the device is automatic. Therefore the device can be used periodically without any preparation especially on workplaces where the storage of the used containers in their original form is not possible, for example by reason of limited space. Device operating mode is automatically controlled, so despite processing of various assortment of drink containers the device is not clogged and this problem need not to be solved by manual action of operators. Another advantage is that before pressing the hollow object is perforated, so the device operation is uniform and the rests of compressed bottle content are not splashed inside the device, which means that not only maintenance costs are decreased but also the device lifetime is extended. The advantage over presses is also lower noisiness. The advantage of the alternative solution, in which the control unit input is connected to frequency inverter output, is possibility to control deformation speed depending on resistance of the bottle, which is deformed and also the reverse operation is possible in case of danger that device will be stopped. The advantage of the rotary knife is higher reliability during slitting of thicker wall and derivation of the rotary knife movement from movement of the cone wheel is easy to manufacture, whereas independent motor drive allows reaching higher variability in adjustment of device operation according to material, which the object is made of.
Description of the Drawings
The invention will now be further explained with reference to accompanying drawings, wherein Fig. 1 is a side view of the device according to preferred embodiment.
Fig. 2 is a ground plan of the device according to preferred embodiment.
Fig. 3 is a side view of the device according to one of others embodiments.
Fig. 4 is a side view of the device according to one of other possible embodiments.
Description of preferred Embodiment
An embodiment of the invention will now be described by way of example. In a restaurant with high operation was necessary to take away the used plastic drink bottles. By reason that the waste consists of the empty bottles has an inconvenient rate between weight and volume, the vehicle capacity was not used enough. From this reason the used plastic bottles were pressed in the device for reduction of hollow object volume. In accordance with preferred embodiment the device for reduction of hollow object volume consists of the upper cone wheel H. and lower disc wheel 5. Lower disc wheel 5 is pivoted in lower bearing 4 and is deflected by angle 10° towards upper cone wheel ϋ, which is pivoted in upper bearing L2. Upper frame \4 with fixed upper bearing \2 is flexibly fastened to lower frame 2_. with fixed lower bearing 4, in four points and connected by couplers 8 each of which is equipped with silent block 9. Upper cone wheel U. is equipped with rubber lining 6 on its lower side and is rotary connected to drive unit 13. Inlet 1 equipped with contactless barrier 15 is placed on the splay side between lower disc wheel 5 and upper cone wheel ϋ. Rotary knife 17 is placed between inlet 1 and contact surface 16 of both wheels 5,11. Drive unit 13 is connected to frequency inverter 2J_, which is connected to power supply 23 and controlled by control system 22. Rotary knife 17 is powered by independent motor 20, thereby the slitting conditions setting was enabled, depending on bottle material.
The device works in this way: By inserting a bottle 2 to the inlet 1 is given an impulse for starting of drive unit 13, which rotates the upper cone wheel 11 and consequently also the lower disk wheel 5, because in static stage these wheels are touching in contact surface \6. By catching a bottle 2 between wheels 5 and JJ , the bottle 2 is pulled into the rotary knife 17 space. After slitting the bottle 2 is pulled into between the wheels 1_L and 5, where it is pressed and pushed out on the opposite side. In case of high resistance determined by material rigidity, the control system 22 sent a command to perform speed reduction or reversing operation. The compression rate is determined by the rate of flexible space between upper frame J_4 and lower frame 7.
Description of one of others Embodiments
According to one of others embodiments the same device as in example of preferred embodiment is equipped with rotary knife 17 connected to shaft 18, on which the transmission wheel 19 is attached. Transmission wheel 19 is in mesh with upper cone wheel 11.
Description of one of others possible Embodiments
According to one of others possible embodiments the same device as in example of preferred embodiment is equipped with immovable knife 10 with double-sided blade.
