Abstract

Front opening body armor (30) protects the user (32) from edged weapons, sharp objects, and ballistic threats. Additionally, the front opening body armor (30) can be fitted with various pieces of protective gear based on the user's expected environment, and adjusted for proper protection and comfort without reducing protection for the user (32).
