Abstract

The invention concerns a container (1) for storing and displaying substantially rectangular parallelepiped objects (2), said container (1) comprising a peripheral lateral wall (3) and a bottom wall (4) and a top wall (5). Said container is characterized in that: it comprises an opening (6) located at the upper part of its lateral wall (3) and includes a top wall (5) consisting of a lid (51) articulated on said peripheral lateral wall (3) and whereof the surface (52) facing the inside of the container (1), called inner surface (52), bears a device (7) for maintaining at least an object (2), while said lid (51) is being maneuvered, such as for closing or clearing the opening (6).

Description

 Receptacle with housing in the lid

The invention relates to a receptacle for the storage and presentation of objects.

The invention also relates to a blank of material intended to constitute this receptacle.

The invention relates more particularly, but not exclusively, to a receptacle for storing and presenting substantially rectangular rectangular boxes containing, in particular, products from the tobacco industry, such as cigarettes.

The invention relates more particularly, but not exclusively, to a receptacle intended to constitute a box for the presentation for sale of packets of cigarettes.

The term “packet of cigarettes” denotes a packet having a substantially rectangular rectangular shape and housing a plurality of cigarettes, for example about twenty cigarettes, arranged one against the other in two or three rows.

In this field, it is known to use receptacles, which formed by cutting, folding and gluing a sheet of cardboard, themselves have, on the one hand, a substantially rectangular rectangular shape and, on the other hand, dimensions which are determined so as to accommodate at least one stack or a row of cigarette packs.

For example, the receptacle can accommodate ten packets of cigarettes to present them for sale.

To this end, the applicant uses in particular an elongated receptacle, described in patent EP-A-0,373,746. This receptacle comprises a window which, fitted at one end of its side wall, makes it possible to take out packets of cigarettes in a direction substantially orthogonal to the longitudinal axis of the stack or row of packets which it contains.

Preferably, this receptacle is intended to be placed vertically in abutment on a horizontal support, and this against that of its ends at the level of which the packet access window opens laterally.

By this, each package located at the base of the stack can be removed and, after which, a new package comes, by gravity, to appear before the opening.

This type of known receptacle makes it possible to present substantially rectangular rectangular objects in a relatively satisfactory manner.

A result which the invention aims to obtain is a receptacle which, while being easy and economical to produce, on the one hand, with a qualitative appearance and, on the other hand, makes it possible to present substantially rectangular rectangular objects in a way actually advantageous.

To this end, the subject of the invention is a receptacle for the storage and presentation of substantially rectangular rectangular objects, which receptacle comprises a peripheral side wall as well as a bottom wall and an upper wall, this receptacle being in particular characterized by what:

- It has an opening located at the top of its side wall and,

- It has an upper wall which is constituted by a cover articulated on said peripheral lateral wall and whose face facing the inside of the receptacle, called internal face, carries a device for holding at least one object, the device guaranteeing the maintenance of the object, at least during an operation for handling said cover, such as an operation allowing the opening to be closed or released.

The invention also relates to a blank of flat material for the production of the receptacle.

The invention will be clearly understood on reading the description below made by way of nonlimiting example, with reference to the attached drawing which represents:

Referring to the drawing, we see a receptacle 1 for the storage and presentation of objects 2 substantially rectangular parallelepiped, which receptacle 1 comprises a peripheral side wall 3 as well as a bottom wall 4 and an upper wall 5.

For the description, it is considered that the receptacle 1 is in the position of use, that is to say with its bottom wall 4 which is located in a substantially horizontal plane and its peripheral side wall 3 which extends above this horizontal plane.

According to a remarkable embodiment, the receptacle 1, on the one hand, has six faces, including a bottom face 40, four lateral faces 30 and an upper face 50 and, on the other hand, is of substantially rectangular rectangular shape.

For example, the receptacle 1 is of substantially cubic envelope volume.

The receptacle advantageously has, in the planes parallel to its bottom, a square cross section, but this does not exclude that it has a polygonal section different from the square or a polygonal section with rounded corners or an oval section.

Although this does not appear in the drawings, the faces 30, 40, 50 of the receptacle 1 carry drawings or patterns.

Without limitation, these designs or patterns are obtained by printing.

For example, the receptacle 1 is made of cardboard and its faces 30, 40, 50 bear designs or patterns which are printed in color.

Remarkably, receptacle 1:

- has an opening 6 located at the upper part of its side wall 3 and,

- Has an upper wall 5 which is constituted by a cover

51 articulated on said peripheral lateral wall 3 and the face 52 of which faces the interior of the receptacle 1, called the internal face 52, carries a device 7 for holding at least one object 2, the device guaranteeing the maintenance of the object 2 at least during an operation for handling said cover 51, such as an operation allowing the opening 6 to be closed or released.

In Figure 3, the receptacle has been shown seen in the closed position and in section along a substantially vertical transverse plane.

In this figure, the cover 51 has also been shown in thin lines in the partially open position.

Notably, the opening 6 is delimited by at least one main upper edge 31 whose shape and position relative to the bottom wall 4 of the receptacle 1 determine the height H1 of the peripheral side wall 3 of said receptacle 1.

The main upper edge may comprise only one segment, in particular when the receptacle is of oval section, but it may also comprise several segments, when the receptacle is of polygonal section.

The term "shape" used relative to the main edge means that this edge, when it is considered developed, can be rectilinear, but that this is not at all limiting.

According to a preferred embodiment, the cover 51 has, at least locally, a determined thickness E1 which is at least sufficient for at least one cavity 70 to be able to be fitted in this cover 51, according to its thickness E1, in order to constitute the holding device 7.

Remarkably, the dimensions and shapes of the cavity 70 are adjusted as a function of those of at least one object 2 to be maintained, so as to be able to accommodate this object 2 without significant play, but in such a way that it remains at least partially visible when the cover is open and can be extracted from this cavity 70. According to one embodiment, in addition to the cavity 70, the holding device 7 comprises at least one adhesive element 71 disposed in said cavity 70 so as to retain the object 2 placed in this cavity 70.

For example, the adhesive element 71 consists of a patch of adhesive material placed in the cavity 70.

Preferably, the dimensions and shapes of the cavity 70 are adjusted as a function of those of at least one object 2 to be maintained, so as to be able to accommodate this object 2 and to enclose it elastically in order to retain it.

Remarkably, the cover 51 has a peripheral lateral face 53 whose transverse dimension E1 determines the thickness E1 of this cover 51 and, when said cover 51 closes the opening 6, is in continuity with the peripheral side wall 3 of the receptacle 1.

In a preferred embodiment, the receptacle 1 is intended to contain objects 2 of envelope volume which are substantially rectangular parallelepiped and having a width L1, a height H2 and a thickness E2 which are determined.

Remarkably, at least some of the objects 2 consist of boxes 2 of tobacco industry products, and for example packets of cigarettes.

This therefore does not exclude that the objects contained in the receptacle are different from the object or objects retained by the holding device 7 carried by the cover 51.

For example, the receptacle houses packages of cigarettes and the lid houses a lighter.

Notably, when the receptacle 1 is intended to contain objects 2 consisting of boxes 2, these boxes 2 being substantially rectangular parallelepiped and having a width L1, a height H2 and a thickness E2 which are determined, this receptacle is remarkable in that, at any place on its side wall, the sum:

the transverse dimension E1 of the peripheral lateral face 53 of the cover 51, called the thickness E1 of the cover 51, and

- of the height H1 of the peripheral side wall 3,

is equal to the sum of the height H2 and the thickness E2 of a box 2.

In one embodiment of the receptacle of the invention (Figures 1 and 3), the main upper edge 31 which delimits the opening 6 is located in a plane substantially parallel to the bottom wall.

In this case, the receptacle is remarkable in that, on the one hand, the height H1 of the peripheral lateral wall 3 is substantially constant and equal to the height H2 of a box 2 and, on the other hand, the lateral face peripheral device 53 of cover 51 has, for its part, a transverse dimension E1, called thickness E1 of cover 51, which is substantially constant and equal to the thickness E2 of a box 2.

In another embodiment of the receptacle of the invention (Figure 2), the main upper edge 31 which delimits the opening 6 is located in a plane intersecting a plane containing the bottom wall of the receptacle.

In particular in this case, the receptacle 1 is remarkable in that, on the one hand, the peripheral lateral face 53 of the cover 51 has a transverse dimension E1, called the thickness E1 of the cover 51, which is between a value substantially equal to l thickness E2 of a box 2 and a value substantially equal to the height H2 of a box 2 and, on the other hand, the height H1 of the peripheral side wall 3 is between a value substantially equal to the height H2 d 'a box 2 and a value substantially equal to the thickness E2 of a box 2. Notably:

- The opening 6 of the receptacle 1 has an edge 61 constituted by at least one projection which is located, on the one hand, above the level of at least some of the main edges 31 determining the height H1 of the peripheral side wall 3 of the receptacle 1 and, on the other hand, set back towards the interior of the receptacle 1 so as not to hinder the support of the cover 51 on each upper edge 31 of said side wall 3,

- on the other hand, the cover 51 has a fitting surface on this edge 61.

Remarkably, the edge 61 is constituted by the upper part of a tubular part 8 fitted into the receptacle 1.

When the receptacle 1 has been manufactured and filled, the cover 51 must obviously be kept in the closed position so that the receptacle 1 can be transported and stored.

At this stage, the maintenance of the cover 51 in the closed position can be ensured by any known means and for example, the cover 51 has a peripheral edge attached to the receptacle 1 by a line of least resistance 1022, this line being able to be cut by means of 'a strip arranged to produce this function.

When the line of least resistance 1022 has been cut in order to authorize the lifting of the cover 51 and the release of the opening 6, said cover must nevertheless be able to be closed and kept in this position, at least temporarily.

Those skilled in the art know different means which make it possible to obtain this function. For example, this maintenance in the closed position can be ensured by friction and elastic clamping of the cover on a surface of the receptacle 1 and advantageously on the edge 61 of the opening 6.

Also, by way of example, maintaining in the closed position can be ensured by means of reliefs or retaining lugs of the type of that described in application EP-A-0,543,538.

Regarding the maintenance of the cover 51 in the open position, that is to say in a position in which it allows to display at least one face of the object 2 which is retained by the holding device 7, it can also be insured by any known means.

For example, the maintenance in this position of presentation of an object is ensured by the relative rigidity of an articulation ply 1021 of said cover on the receptacle 1.

With regard to the extraction of each object 2 housed in the receptacle 1 or in the cover 51 of this receptacle, the person skilled in the art is able to provide a means of assistance with the extraction.

Many means exist for this purpose and a person skilled in the art can easily select one.

For example, a strip of flexible material can be used for this purpose.

The invention also relates to a blank 9 of flat material for the production of the receptacle 1.

This blank 9 is at least made up of a first flank 91 of material which comprises:

a first strip 1 10 of material laterally delimited by two longitudinal edges 101, 102 which, said first and second edges 101, 102, extend with, at each point of their length, a spacing adjusted to determine the height H1 of the peripheral side wall 3, this first strip 110 appearing longitudinally constituted by panels 103, called first panels 103, which are successive, that is to say located side by side along the longitudinal dimension of said first strip 110, these first successive panels being interconnected by at least one first separation line 104, so as to allow, at least by curvature along these lines 104 , the constitution of the peripheral side wall 3 of the receptacle 1,

- At least one other panel 120 which, said second panel 120, extends beyond said first bank 101 of the longitudinal banks 101, 102 of the first strip 110 and is, according to this first longitudinal bank 101, connected to the one of the first panels 103 so as to allow, at least by folding along this first bank 101, the constitution of the bottom 4 of the receptacle 1,

- A second strip 130 of material laterally delimited by two longitudinal edges 102, 105 which, said second and third edges 101, 105, extend with, at each point of their length, a spacing adjusted to determine the transverse dimension E1 of the peripheral lateral face 53 of the cover 51, and thereby the thickness E1 of this cover 51,

. this second strip 130 appearing longitudinally formed by panels 106, called third panels 106, which are successive, that is to say located side by side along the longitudinal dimension of the second strip 130, these third successive panels being connected together by at at least a second separation line 107 so as to allow, at least by folding, the constitution of the peripheral lateral face 53 of the cover 51,

. this second strip 130 having the so-called second strip 102 of these longitudinal edges, said second and third 102, 105 which is common with the first strip 110 and which is produced at the same time, .. by a first fold line 1021 located between one of its secondary panels 106 and one of the first panels 103 of the first strip 1 10, so as to constitute a hinge for articulation of the cover 51 on a panel the peripheral side wall 3,

.. by a pre-cut line 1022 located between its other third panels 106 and the other first panels 103 of the first strip 110, so as to constitute a line of least resistance allowing the subsequent separation of the cover 51 and the side wall device 3 of receptacle 1,

at least one other panel 140 which, said fourth panel 140, extends beyond said third bank 105 of the second strip 130 opposite to said second bank 102 linked to the first strip 110 and is connected to one of the third panels 106 of the second strip by this third bank 105 so as to allow, at least by folding along this third bank 105, the constitution of the upper wall 5 of the cover 51.

This type of arrangement of the constituent panels of the peripheral side wall 3, of the bottom wall and of the cover 51 of the receptacle 1, allows the production of a print which guarantees the absence of discontinuity of the patterns between the peripheral side wall 3 of the receptacle 1 and the peripheral side wall of the cover 51.

Indeed, all the panels constituting the receptacle are linked during printing.

A person skilled in the art is able to choose the shape of the panels constituting the bottom wall 40 and the cover 51, as well as the position of at least one flap 80 for assembly by gluing two opposite ends of the first strip. 110.

Remarkably, the blank comprises a second flank 91 of material making it possible to constitute a tubular piece 8 intended to be inserted into the receptacle 1 so as to produce at the level of the opening 6 of the receptacle 1 at least one projection which forms an edge 61 for positioning the cover 51, above each edge 31 determining the height H1 of the peripheral side wall 3 of said receptacle 1.

Also remarkably (FIGS. 6 to 9) the tubular part 8 intended to be inserted into the receptacle 1, comprises:

a third strip 150 delimited by two banks 1510, 151 1 which, said to be the fourth and fifth banks 1510, 151 1, extend over at least a fraction of their length, with a spacing H3 which is, at the same time,

. proportional to the height H1 of the peripheral side wall 3 so as to follow the profile of the opening 6 and,

. greater than said height H1 so as to constitute the edge 61 for positioning the cover 51,

this third strip 150 appearing longitudinally consisting of panels 152, called fifth panels 152, which are successive, that is to say located side by side along the longitudinal dimension of said third strip 150, said successive panels 152 being interconnected by a second folding line 153 so as to allow, by folding along this line 153, the constitution of the tubular part 8 intended to be inserted into the receptacle 1,

- At least one panel 160 which, said sixth panel 160, extends beyond the fourth 1510 of the so-called fourth and fifth banks 1510, 151 1 of said third strip 150 and is connected to one of the fifth panels 152 according to this fourth edge 1510 so as to allow, at least by folding along said fourth edge 1510, then application against the fifth panel 152 with which it is associated, the reinforcement of the edge of this panel 152 and the constitution of a secondary edge 32 whose mechanical strength is increased. In one embodiment (FIG. 9), the blank is remarkable in that:

- At least a sixth panel 160 that comprises the tubular part 8 intended to be inserted in the receptacle 1 comprises a cutout 170 which, said first cutout, on the one hand, adjoins said fourth bank 1510 located between said sixth panel 160 and the fifth panel 150 to which it is attached and, on the other hand, is substantially symmetrical with respect to an axis meanwhile median to said sixth panel and perpendicular to said fourth bank 1510 located between said sixth panel 160 and the fifth panel 150,

the fifth panel 150 to which said sixth panel is connected

160 also includes a cutout 171 which, said second cutout, is substantially symmetrical to the first cutout 170 of the sixth panel 160 with respect to said fourth edge 1510 located between said sixth panel 160 and the fifth panel 150.

This embodiment of the tubular part 8 is particularly advantageous when the main upper edge 31 which delimits the opening 6 of the receptacle of the invention (FIG. 2) is located in a plane intersecting a plane containing the bottom wall of the receptacle (illustration in figure 10).

In one embodiment (FIG. 9), each of said first and second cutouts 170, 171 made in said fifth panel 150 and said sixth panel 160 give these panels 150, 160 a substantially "U" shape.

The existence of the tubular part 8 guarantees perfect positioning of the cover 51.

The formation of the secondary edge 32 by folding makes it possible to constitute an edge with a very neat appearance and which has a certain robustness. In one embodiment (FIG. 9), the tubular part 8 intended to be inserted into the receptacle 1, comprises several sixth panels 160 which are successive, that is to say located side by side being:

on the one hand, connected together by a third fold line 154 so as to allow, by folding along this line 154, the constitution of the tubular part 8 intended to be inserted into the receptacle 1, and

- '' - on the other hand, each connected to one of the * fifth successive panels 152 of the third strip 150, by said fourth bank 1510 of these so-called fifth successive panels 152.

According to another embodiment (FIGS. 6 to 8), the tubular part

8 intended to be inserted into the receptacle 1, comprises several sixth panels (160) which are successive, that is to say located side by side being:

on the one hand, separated by an elongated cutout 155, called the third cutout, so as to allow, by folding along this third elongate cutout 155, the constitution of the tubular part 8 intended to be inserted in the receptacle 1, and

- on the other hand, each connected to one of the fifth successive panels 152 of the third strip 150, by said fourth bank 1510 of these said successive fifth panels 152.

According to another embodiment, the tubular part 8 intended to be inserted into the receptacle 1, comprises several fifth successive panels 152 of which at least some are separated both by a second fold line 153 and by an elongated cutout 156 which, said fourth cut, extends in the extension of this second fold line 153.

These technical features facilitate the folding of the various panels of the tubular part 8 when it includes fifths 152 and sixth 160 panels which are substantially superimposed. In another embodiment, the tubular part 8 intended to be inserted into the receptacle 1 comprises at least a sixth panel 160 and at least a fifth panel 152 which:

- are interconnected by a common bank formed by said fourth bank 1510 so that they can be folded one against the other

160 and are substantially the same shapes and dimensions,

- Have edges 157, 158 which, intended to come at least locally into contact with the bottom wall 4 of the receptacle 1, are curved and oriented so that these curvatures are reversed when said fifth 152 and sixth 160 panels are folded l one against the other.

These technical features make it possible in particular to guarantee good support of the tubular part 8 against the bottom wall 4 of the receptacle 1.

Claims

claims 1. Receptacle (1) for the storage and presentation of objects (2) substantially rectangular parallelepiped, which receptacle (1) comprises a peripheral side wall (3) as well as a bottom wall (4) and an upper wall ( 5), this receptacle being characterized in that it: - has an opening (6) located at the upper part of its side wall (3) and, - Has an upper wall (5) which is constituted by a cover (51) articulated on said peripheral side wall (3) and whose face (52) facing the interior of the receptacle (1), called internal face (52) , carries a device (7) for holding at least one object (2), the device ensuring the maintenance of the object (2), at least during an operation of handling said cover (51), such an operation making it possible to close or release the opening (6). 2. Receptacle (1) according to claim 1, characterized in that on the one hand, it has six faces, including a bottom face (40), four lateral faces (30) and an upper face (50) and, d on the other hand, it is of substantially rectangular parallelepiped shape. 3. Receptacle (1) according to any one of claims 1 and 2, characterized in that the opening (6) is delimited by at least one main upper edge (31) whose shape and position relative to the wall bottom (4) of the receptacle (1) determine the height (H1) of the peripheral side wall (3) of said receptacle (1). 4. Receptacle (1) according to any one of claims 1 to 3, characterized in that the cover (51) has, at least locally, a determined thickness (E1) which is at least sufficient for at least one cavity (70) can be arranged in this cover (51), according to its thickness (E1), in order to constitute the holding device (7). 5. Receptacle (1) according to claim 4, characterized in that the dimensions and shapes of the cavity (70) are adjusted as a function of those of at least one object (2) to be maintained, so as to provide receiving this object (2) without significant play, but in such a way that it remains at least partially visible when the cover is open and can be extracted from this cavity (70). 6. Receptacle (1) according to claim 4 or 5, characterized in that in addition to the cavity (70), the device (7) for holding comprises at least one adhesive element (71) disposed in said cavity (70) so to retain the object '(2) placed in this cavity (70). 7. Receptacle (1) according to any one of claims 4 to 6, characterized in that the dimensions and shapes of the cavity (70) are adjusted as a function of those of at least one object (2) to be maintained, and this, so as to be able to receive this object (2) and to enclose it elastically in order to retain it. 8. Receptacle (1) according to any one of claims 4 to 7, characterized in that the cover (51) has a peripheral lateral face (53) whose transverse dimension (E1) determines the thickness (E1) of this cover (51) and, when said cover (51) closes the opening (6), is in continuity with the peripheral side wall (3 ) of the receptacle (1). 9. Receptacle (1) according to any one of claims 1 to 8 and of the type intended to contain objects (2) consisting of boxes (2), these boxes (2) being substantially rectangular parallelepiped and having a width (L1 ), a height (H2) and a thickness (E2) which are determined, this receptacle being characterized in that, at all places on its side wall, the sum: - the transverse dimension (E1) of the peripheral lateral face (53) of the cover (51), called thickness (E1) of the cover (51), and - the height (H1) of the peripheral side wall (3), is equal to the sum of the height (H2) and the thickness (E2) of a box (2). 10. Receptacle (1) according to any one of claims 1 to 8 and of type intended to contain objects (2) consisting of boxes (2), these boxes (2) being substantially rectangular parallelepiped and having a width (L1 ), a height (H2) and a thickness (E2) which are determined, this receptacle being characterized in that, on the one hand, the height (H1) of the peripheral lateral wall (3) is substantially constant and equal to the height (H2) of a box (2) and, on the other hand, the peripheral lateral face (53) of the cover (51) has a transverse dimension (E1), called thickness (E1) of the cover (51 ), which is substantially constant and equal to the thickness (E2) of a box (2). 1 1. receptacle (1) according to any one of claims 1 to 8 and of the type intended to contain objects (2) consisting of boxes (2), these boxes (2) being substantially rectangular parallelepiped and having a width ( L1), a height (H2) and a thickness (E2) which are determined, this receptacle being characterized in that, on the one hand, the peripheral lateral face (53) of the cover (51) has a transverse dimension (E1) , called thickness (E1) of the cover (51), which is between a value substantially equal to the thickness (E2) of a box (2) and a value substantially equal to the height (H2) of a box ( 2) and, on the other hand, the height (H1) of the peripheral side wall (3) is between a value substantially equal to the height (H2) of a box (2) and a value substantially equal to the thickness (E2) of a box (2). 12. Receptacle (1) according to any one of claims 3 to 1 1, characterized in that: - The opening (6) of the receptacle (1) comprises an edge (61) constituted by at least one projection which is situated, on the one hand, above the level of at least some of the main edges (31) determining the height (H1) of the peripheral lateral wall (3) of the receptacle (1) and, on the other hand, in withdrawal towards the inside of the receptacle (1) so as not to obstruct the support of the cover (51) on each upper edge (31) of said side wall (3), - On the other hand, the cover (51) has a fitting surface on this edge (61) which therefore constitutes an edge (61) for positioning the positioning of the cover (51). 13. Receptacle (1) according to claim 12, characterized in that the edge (61) consists of the upper part of a tubular part 8 fitted into the receptacle (1). 14. Receptacle (1) according to any one of claims 9 to 13, characterized in that the boxes (2) substantially rectangular parallelepiped are packages of tobacco industry products. 15.
