Abstract

A sleeve for a conical food product. A wrapper blank and various manufacturing methods are also provided. A score mark, e.g., a perforation, is made on a surface of a wrapper blank. When the wrapper blank is folded into a sleeve, the score mark may be substantially parallel to the overlap seam where the side edge portions of the wrapper blank are sealed together. When a portion of the sleeve is torn to access the contents of the sleeve, e.g., an ice cream cone, the score mark may interrupt the delamination of the sleeve that may be caused by the seam such that the torn portion may be removed in substantially one piece. As a result, the contents of the sleeve may be accessed more easily. To further facilitate the opening process, the score mark may intersect or otherwise be used in conjuction with at least one other score mark.
