Abstract

L'invention concerne une matière à base d'oxyde pour piège à bain de fusion destiné à la zone active d'un réacteur nucléaire, qui comprend un agent de refroidissement et d'oxydation destiné au refroidissement de la zone active et l'oxydation de ses composants les plus actifs, qui comprend en outre un additif spécial constitué d'au moins un oxyde choisi dans le groupe comprenant Gd2, Eu2O3, et Sm2O3,, dans des quantités allant de préférence jusqu'à 4 % en poids, et comprend de préférence entre 0,1 et 4 % en poids. De préférence, l'agent de refroidissement et d'oxydation comprend Fe2O3 et/ou Fe3O4 et Al2O3, la teneur en Fe2O3 et/ou en Fe3O4 étant comprise entre 46 et 80 % en poids et la teneur en Al2 O3 étant comprise entre 16 et 50 % en poids.
