Abstract

A parallelepiped cigarette packet of the flap-box type (10) is surrounded by an external wrapping of clear film. The above comprises a tear strip (24), running at an angle or diagonally in the region of a front wall (14) and back wall (15) and runs into curved regions in the side walls (16, 17). An optimal opening and removal of the external wrapper by means of the tear strip (24) is thus possible.
