Abstract

L'invention concerne des zéolites CuY et AgY en tant que sorbants sélectifs destinés à désulfurer des combustibles liquides. On a utilisé thiophène et benzène comme système modèle et on a mesuré des isothermes en phase vapeur. Comparés à NaY, CuY et AgY adsorbent de manière significative de plus grandes quantités de thiophène et de benzène ensemble à de faibles pressions. L'hypothèse est que cela est dû à la π-complexation avec Cu?+ et Ag+¿. Par cation, davantage de thiophène est adsorbé par Cu+ que par Ag+, par exemple 0,92 molécule/ Cu+ contre 0,42 molécule/ Ag?+ à 2x10-5¿ atm et 120 °C. Les calculs orbitaux moléculaires ont confirmé les forces de la π-complexation: thiophène>benzène et Cu+> Ag+. Les chaleurs d'adsorption expérimentales pour π-complexation sont qualitativement conformes aux prévisions théoriques. L'invention concerne en outre un procédé et des sorbants permettant l'évacuation d'aromatisants des hydrocarbures.
