Abstract

L'invention concerne une cellulase présentant une tolérance thermique (thermostable) qui est un membre de la famille des glycoside hydrolases. L'invention concerne plus particulièrement la cellulase dénommée AviIII, isolée et caractérisée à partir de Acidothermus cellulolyticus. L'invention concerne en outre des formes recombinées de l'AViIII ainsi identifié, ainsi que des procédés de préparation et d'utilisation des polypeptides d'AviIII, y compris d'hybrides, de variants et de dérivés de ceux-ci.
