Abstract

A system for activating an alarm by introducing a key into a lock core is disclosed. When the short key (1) is used, only the normal lock mechanism is operated. When the long key (2) is used, both mechanisms, the normal lock and the alarm system are operated, because the extension (3) of the long key (2) reaches the free space (6) between the edges of the lock core mechanisms (4,5). The alarm, preferentially silent and remote, is activated by mechanical, electrical, optical or other activation means.

Description

Alarm activation system
The present invention refers to a alarm system able to be activated during the introduction of a key in a lock marrow. The system is very useful to situations when, while entering a place, someboby is boarded by a criminal that intends to take advantage in this moment to get into that place.
When the alarm is activated, a central office is informed about the happening and the right security actions are taken to prevent personal and pecuniary damages. The user has two keys (fig 1), a short one (1) and a long one (2). The system works with simple keys (these with grooves) or standard "yale" type (these with four grooved sides).
When the short key is used (1) the mechanism activated is the usual lock system (fig 2), since its reach is not enough to cross the edge of the mechanism, thus failing to trigger it (4 or 5, depending on the side of the key that is introduced).
When the longer key is used (2), both mechanisms, the normal lock system and the alarm system, are activated due to its longer (2) extension (3). It reaches the free area
(6) between the edges of the mechanisms of the lock marrow (4 and 5) thus triggering an alarm by mechanic, eletric, optical or another activation system, preferrably noiseless and remote.

Claims

1°) " Alarm activation system by lock marrow ", caracterized by two keys, simple or standard 'Υale" type, where one is short (1) and allows the work only of the normal locking system and another longer (2) that allows the work of the normal locking system and trigger the alarm system too.
2°) " Alarm activation system by lock marrow ", according the claim #1, caracterized by a free area (6) between the edges of the mechanisms of the lock marrow (4 and 5) thus allowing the system to work as a normal locking system when used the short key (1) and also to trigger an alarm system, by mechanic, eletric, optic or another activation system when the long key is used (2).
