Durch die Verwendung des Manipulators kann die Messeinheit aus einer äußeren Ruheposition ohne zusätzlichen maschinellen Aufwand in eine optimale Messposition bis in das metallurgische Gefäß hinein verbracht werden. Bei dem Messen der Reststärke der feuerfesten Auskleidung in deren Bodenbereich braucht die Messeinheit nur über das metallurgische Gefäß verfahren zu werden. In jedem Fall erhält man optimale Messergebnisse und dadurch einen abgesicherten Schmelzbetrieb durch einfache Kontrolle der feuerfesten Auskleidung. Man kann ferner eine abgesicherte Verlängerung der Standzeit der feuerfesten Auskleidung durch gezieltes Sanieren erreichen. Ein zusätzlicher Manipulator für die Messeinheit ist entbehrlich, was auch zu einer Platzeinsparung führt. Die Messeinheit 5 hat bspw. ein Paar von Stereo-Matrix-Kameras, mit Hilfe derer die gewünschte Tiefeninformation des jeweiligen Istprofils der feuerfesten Auskleidung 1 berührungslos und stereoskopisch gemessen und ein Vergleich mit einem Istprofil der nicht-verschlissenen Auskleidung 1 vorgenommen werden kann. Der Vergleich erfolgt z. B. durch Differenzbildung der gemessenen Profilwerte. Unter Berücksichtigung der bekannten Stärke der feuerfesten Auskleidung im Ausgangszustand bzw. der Innenkontur des metallurgischen Gefäßes ohne feuerfeste Auskleidung ergibt sich daraus die Reststärke. Die Messdaten können dann dazu verwendet werden, um den Spritzkopf 8 gemäß Fig. 3 selbsttätig in die richtige Spritzposition zu bringen.2, a measuring unit 5, preferably height-adjustable, rotatable and / or pivotable, is also attached to the manipulator 6.
