Abstract

A delay line comprises a spirally coiled strip transmission line encapsulated within conductive ground discs. In an advantageous embodiment the delay line is a monolithic ceramic structure produced by forming the stripline (20) on green ceramic tape (22), spirally rolling the green stripline, encasing the rolled stripline in green ceramic encapsulating discs (42, 43) and cofiring the green assembly into a monolithic compact disc.
