Abstract

The invention provides a method and a control system for controlling a nuclear power plant. The system includes a plurality of sensors for monitoring variables relating to the operation of the nuclear power plant. A feedback control system is used to maintain plant stability in the or each mode of operation. When required, a logic control system is used for controlling a transition from one mode of operation to another mode of operation.
