Abstract

La lumière émanant d'un objet, tel qu'une cellule qui se déplace à travers un système d'imagerie, est recueillie et dispersée de façon à la mettre en image sur plusieurs détecteurs distincts. La lumière est dispersée dans le spectre par plusieurs réflecteurs dichroïques espacés, chaque détecteur recevant la lumière d'un réflecteur dichroïque différent. Chaque filtre dichroïque refléchit la lumière d'une couleur prédéfinie différente en laissant passer la lumière d'autres couleurs. Le signal de sortie émanant de chaque détecteur indique une caractéristique différente de l'objet. Dans une configuration, chaque détecteur est équipé d'une lentille d'imagerie. Dans une autre configuration, les détecteurs sont espacés à des distances variables des réflecteurs dichroïques homologues si bien que des lentilles d'imagerie distinctes ne sont pas nécessaires.
