Abstract

A method for building a digital rights management system is disclosed, comprising the steps of: (i) specifying rule types for controlling and manipulating digital information for transporting said information among two or more persons; (ii) specifying a rendering program for controlling and manipulating said message in accordance with said rules; (iii) specifying a support application for securing and transporting said message; and (iv) specifying a packager for packing said message for transport by said support application.
