Definitions
- the present invention relates to a pair of glasses with interchangeable lenses, in particular a pair of sports glasses.
- Its main objective is to provide a frame allowing quick and easy interchange of lenses, while offering perfect safety for holding lenses and retaining a particularly simple and easy to manufacture structure.
- Another objective of the invention is to provide such a pair of glasses usable with corrective lenses.
- Yet another objective of the invention is to provide a pair of glasses, the arms of which are maintained in the deployed position, and are recalled to their folded position when they are made to leave. this deployed position, while retaining a structure of a pair of glasses that is simple and easy to manufacture.
- An additional objective of the invention is to provide a pair of glasses, the branches of which ensure perfect support of the pair on the head of the user, without being irritating to the ears.
- the pair of glasses concerned comprises, in a manner known per se, a frame, glasses and means allowing the interchange of these glasses.
- the means for interchanging a glass comprise:
- At least one holding means allowing the moving part to be held normally in the engagement position.
- said holding means is constituted, for each movable part, by a pad of elastically compressible material, placed between the movable part and the frame, or between this movable part and a fixed part placed on the frame, this buffer normally maintaining the moving part in the engagement position and being compressed when the moving part is brought into the erasing position.
- the structure of the pair of glasses is thus particularly simple.
- the frame has a nose piece fixed on it, whose side edges form two areas for receiving the glasses, and side openings for mounting said moving parts and said pads of elastically compressible material; each opening has a portion of larger section and a portion of smaller section, the latter being oriented parallel to the direction of movement of the moving part;
- Each moving part has, for its mounting on the frame, a mushroom-shaped stud, the head of which has a dimension less than said part of larger section, but greater than said part of smaller section, and whose body has a dimension smaller than said portion of smaller section, so that this stud can be engaged in said opening at the level of said portion of larger section, then its body can be engaged to slide in said portion of smaller section, said head then bearing against the frame, and thus retaining the movable part on this frame;
- Each pad also has a mushroom-shaped stud, the head of which has a dimension greater than said portion of larger section and the body of which has a dimension corresponding substantially to this portion of larger section, this stud being able to be engaged in force in the part of the largest section, which causes the deformation of the head of the stud, until this head opens through the opening and regains its original shape, thus locking the buffer on the frame.
- the frame may advantageously have, for each lens, a fixed support piece, placed so that the pad is located between it and the movable piece, this fixed support piece defining a support surface for the pad.
- This bearing surface can thus be optimally shaped for the deformation of the tampon.
- each fixed support piece comprises a mushroom-shaped stud, the head of which has a dimension less than said portion of larger section, but greater than said second portion of smaller section, and the body of which has dimension less than said second part of smaller section, so that this stud can be engaged at the part of larger section, then that its body can be engaged in said second part of smaller section, said head then bearing against the frame and thus retaining this fixed support piece on this frame.
- the frame comprises, at the pivot zone of each branch, a pivot for guiding this branch in pivoting and a lug forming a stop;
- Each branch includes a light for its engagement on the pivot, oriented longitudinally, allowing a longitudinal sliding of the branch on this pivot, and a housing suitable for receiving said lug in it; said sliding takes place between a position of engagement of the lug in the housing, which allows the branch to be held in the deployed position, and a position of release of the lug from the housing, allowing the branch to rotate around the pivot for folding this branch; each branch further comprises a hooking beak arranged on its internal edge, behind said pivot;
- the pair of glasses comprises two bands of elastic material longitudinally stretchable, each of these bands being located at a pivot zone of a branch; each strip is connected to the frame by one end, at the internal face of this frame, and has an opening at its other end, this opening being shaped so that the strip can be engaged on said spout 'hooking, and being positioned so that this strip is stretched when hooked to this beak.
- each housing is connected, on the internal side of the branch, to a rounded zone forming a cam capable of sliding on the lug.
- each elastic band of longitudinally stretchable material forms a body with said pad constituting said holding means.
- the number of parts constituting the pair of glasses according to the invention is thus very reduced.
- Each assembly zone arranged in a lateral edge of a lens may have at least one bevel ensuring its reinforced retention on the frame.
- Each assembly zone may also have, on the inner side of the glass, a recess arranged in its thickness, delimiting a lateral assembly wing and a step, this lateral assembly wing and this step being dimensioned so as to come to cooperate with surfaces of complementary shapes to the corresponding reception area.
- the corrective lens thus shaped has a smooth outer face and assembly zones arranged on its inner face. It therefore has a non-different appearance from a non-corrective lens at its outer face, which allows the pair of glasses according to the invention to conceal the wearing of corrective lenses.
- the pair of glasses can receive both non-corrective lenses and corrective lenses, which increases its possibilities of use.
- the reception area for a lens fitted with such a side wing / step assembly area can then be formed by a recess in the frame, having a shape complementary to that of the lateral assembly wing and the step, and by said movable part.
- the latter can be sliding so as to cover said lateral assembly wing in the engagement position, and to be erased beyond this lateral assembly wing in the erasure position.
- the moving part can also be simply removable and be assembled to the frame, for example by snap-fastening, these snap-on means constituting said holding means; each moving part can also be pivotally mounted on the frame.
- each movable part and the pivot axis of each corresponding branch are advantageously combined, the same spindle being used for mounting the branch and the corresponding movable part on the frame.
- the pair of glasses then has a particularly simple structure.
- each branch is shaped so as to bear against the outside face of the corresponding movable part when this branch is in the deployed position.
- This branch thus provides reinforced support for the corresponding moving part in the engagement position.
- the aforementioned holding means making it possible to keep each moving part in the engagement position when the corresponding branch is not deployed, can simply be constituted by latching means.
- each branch has a straight distal shape and receives, at its free end, a support piece intended to bear against the mastoid bone of the skull when the pair of glasses is worn.
- Figure 1 is an exploded perspective view according to a first embodiment, only one of the glasses and only one of the branches being shown;
- Figure 2 is a partial side view, in the assembled state, of this pair of glasses;
- Figure 3 is a detail view, in exploded perspective;

- Figure 5 is a view similar to Figure 4, in another position of one of its branches;
- Figure 6 is a front view of a glass usable with the pair of glasses according to the second embodiment;
- Figure 7 is a view of this lens and of the frame receiving this lens, in section passing through the longitudinal central region of the lens;
- Figure 8 is a partial view of the pair of glasses, in perspective, according to a third embodiment;
- Figure 9 is a view similar to Figure 8, exploded, and
- Figures 10 and 1 1 are partial views, from above and in section, respectively in a locking position of a glass and unlocking it glass.
- Figures 1 to 5 show a pair of glasses 1 with interchangeable glasses 2, in particular a pair of sports glasses.
- This pair of glasses 1 comprises, in addition to the lenses 2, a frame 3, a nasal support piece 4, two moving parts 5, two pieces 6 made of elastically deformable material, two support pieces 7, two arms 8 and two end pieces of branches 9.
- Each glass 2 has rounded side edges 2a, 2b and, as appears in FIGS. 4 and 5, a double bevel arranged at the level of its entire periphery.
- the bevelled faces form, at the edges 2a, 2b, areas of assembly of this lens 2 with the rest of the pair of glasses 1.
- the frame 3 comprises a nasal support zone 10, pierced with a hole 11, two arches 12 and two temporal zones 13, each of which comprises an opening. As shown in Figure 1, this opening has a portion 15 of larger section, having a circular shape, and parts
- Part 16 located on the side of zone 10 is oriented substantially in the direction of this zone 10.
- the nasal support piece 4 has a bottom edge 20 in inverted "U”, suitable for a support grip on the top of a nose, and comprises two rounded lateral edges 21.
- Each of these edges 21 has a curved groove , with a "V" cross section, the curvature and cross section of which correspond closely, in negative, to the curvature and the cross section of the internal edges 2a of the glasses 2. These grooves thus constitute zones for receiving said zones of assembly.
- the part 4 also comprises a stud 25 in the form of a mushroom, projecting from its rear face, that is to say from its face turned towards the side of the user's face when the pair of glasses 1 is worn.
- the head 26 of this stud 25 has a diameter greater than that of the hole 1 1, and is elastically deformable, so as to be able to be engaged through this hole 1 1.
- the body 27 of the stud 25 has a diameter corresponding substantially to that of the hole 1 1, and has a length such that the head 26 is located slightly beyond the rear face of the frame 3 when the rear face of the part 4 is in contact with the front face of the frame 3. This stud 25 thus allows the part 4 to be mounted on the frame 3 by snapping into the hole 11.
- Each movable part 5 has two branches 30 giving it a "U” shape. These two branches 30 jointly delimit a curved groove 31, with a "V" cross section. In the same way as for the part 4, the curvature and the cross section of this groove 31 correspond closely, in negative, to the curvature and the cross section of the external edges 2b of the glasses 2. On the side opposite to the branches 30, the part 5 has a straight edge 32.
- the part 5 also has a stud 33 in the form of a mushroom, projecting from its rear face.
- the head of this pad 33 has a diameter slightly less than the diameter of the part 15 but greater than the width of the part 16, while the body of this pad 33 has a diameter slightly less than the width of the part 16, and a length slightly greater than the thickness of the frame 3.
- This stud 33 can be engaged through part 15, its body can be engaged inside part 16, and be guided in sliding therein. Following this engagement, the head of the pad 33 retains the part 5 on the frame 3.
- Each part 6 comprises a portion 40 forming a buffer, a portion 41 forming a mounting stud and a portion 42 forming a strip.
- This part 6 is produced by molding an elastic material, in particular a polymer, such that the portion 40 can be compressed transversely and that the portion 42 can be stretched longitudinally.
- the portion 40 has a substantially rectangular shape.
- the portion 41 is substantially cylindrical. It has a diameter, substantially corresponding to that of the part 15, and has a length equal to the added thicknesses of the mount 3 and of the head of the stud 33.
- the portion 42 forms a rim around the portion 41, suitable for bearing against the rear face of the head of the pad 33.
- the portion 42 has a determined length and has, on the side of its free end, an opening 43 arranged in a determined location, as will be explained below.
- Each part 7 comprises a straight edge 45 and a stud 46 respectively similar to the straight edge 32 and to the stud 33 of the part 5.
- the part 7 comprises a recess 47 allowing the pivoting mounting of a branch 8 , as is more particularly visible in FIG. 3.
- the part 7 comprises a pivot 48 for guiding the pivoting of the branch 8 and a lug 49 forming a stop.
- Each branch 8 comprises a lumen 50, a housing 51, a rounded surface 52 and a hooking spout 53.
- the light 50 is oriented longitudinally and allows a longitudinal sliding of the branch 8 on the pivot 48.
- the housing 51 is suitable for receiving the lug 49 in it and is connected, on the internal side of the branch 8, to the rounded surface 52, which forms a cam capable of sliding on the lug 49.
- the attachment spout 53 is arranged beyond the lumen 50. It delimits with the branch 8 an insertion cavity 55, in which the portion 42 can be engaged, thanks to the opening 43 which the latter comprises, this opening 43 being positioned, so that the portion 42 is stretched when this engagement is achieved.
- Each branch 8 has a generally elongated shape, without bending at its free end.
- the interchange of a lens 2 can be carried out simply and quickly, by moving the corresponding part 5 against the elastic force of the portion 40 forming a buffer, by releasing the lens 2 present on the frame 3, then by engaging a lens. replacement between the reception areas of parts 4 and 5.
- the pair of glasses 1 nevertheless retains a particularly simple structure and easy to manufacture.
- the portion 42 allows the branches to be maintained in the deployed position (FIG. 4), and for them to be returned to their folded position (FIG. 5) when they are brought to leave this deployed position, while also keeping the pair of glasses 1 a simple structure and easy to manufacture.
- each assembly zone 2a, 2b has a recess 70 arranged in its thickness, on the inner side of the glass 2.
- This recess 70 delimits a lateral assembly wing 71 and a step 72 coming to cooperate with surfaces of complementary shape to the reception areas.
- the nasal support piece 4, or the frame 3 itself then has grooves formed in its lateral edges 21, shaped to closely receive the wings 71 of the glasses 2; at the time zones, the frame 3 has recesses of shape complementary to that of the wings 71 and steps 72, and comprises two moving parts 5, these being removable and assembled to the frame 3 by latching means, not represented.

- Each mounting area 80 includes:
- each movable part 5 comprises a front zone 85 shaped so as to cover the corresponding edge of the glass 2, a rear tenon 86 and a catch notch 87.
- the pin 86 is adapted to be pivotally received in the yoke formed by the walls 82 and has a groove in which the branch 8 is intended to be pivotally received.
- the bottom of this groove is delimited by an oblique wall 88 extending in a direction going from the rear and from the inside of the part 5 towards the front and outside of the latter.
- the tenon 86 further comprises two coaxial holes coming, in the mounting position of the part 5 on the zone 80 opposite the holes of the walls 82.
- the notch 87 projects from the internal face of the part 5 and is shaped so as to enter opening 83 when this part 5 is brought into the locking position and to be locked by snapping behind said inner flat face.
- the branch 8 has an oblique front edge 89, suitable for coming into contact with said oblique wall 88 in the fully deployed position of this branch 8, and a mounting / pivoting hole.
- a spindle is driven into the respective holes in zone 80, part 5 and branch 8.
- the branches 8 ensure, when deployed, the maintenance of the parts 5 in the locked position, the edges 89 of these branches 8 bearing against the walls 88 of the parts 5 Perfect support for glasses 2 is thus ensured.
- the notches 87 maintain the parts 5 in the locked position. These parts 5 can be easily unlocked, by pressing on the ends of the notches 87, so as to release the glasses 2.
- the invention provides a pair of glasses with interchangeable lenses, in particular a pair of sports glasses, having numerous advantages compared to pairs of glasses homologous to the prior art, and overcoming the disadvantages of these.
- each hoop 12 can receive a piece 65 for receiving the upper edge of the corresponding glass 2, as shown in FIG. 2.
