Abstract

The invention relates to an expression cassette used for the transgenic expression of nucleic acids in the embryonic epidermis and/or the flower. Said expression cassette contains the promoter of the myb11 gene of Arabidopsis thaliana or functional equivalents or equivalent fragments thereof that have substantially the same promoter activity, said promoter being operably linked with a nucleic acid sequence that is to be transgenically expressed. The invention further relates to vectors derived from said expression cassettes. The invention also relates to transgenic plants transformed with said expression cassettes or vectors, to cultures, parts or transgenic propagation material derived therefrom and to the use thereof for producing foodstuff, feedstuff, seeds, pharmaceuticals or fine chemicals.
