Abstract
Automatic and manual arm is a device that opens and shuts in automatic gates and doors and can be used as a pedestrian crossing by fitting in a key or pressing a button of the interphone. It's a very secure device because it can work without photoelectric-cell. It can be used in offices, hospitals, in country houses and it is very useful for the handicapped people.
Description
Description of the industrial model invention
Title: automatic and manual arm for opening and closing of gates and doors.
Description
The automatic arm is a device that everyone knows. It has its advantages and disadvantages. One disadvantage is that it cannot be used as a pedestrian crossing. Therefore there will be the need for another opening in the gate or door, like a small winkle gate or door. Whit this new invention of automatic and manual arm, this problem does not exists thanks to the device it has. Whereby the automatic and manual system can be locked and unlocked, can be opened and closed automatically or manually. For the automatic function, one press the remote control. While for manual function one just only has to use the key lock device. The arms movement can be of mechanical or hydraulic system.
Characteristics
Mechanical system is shown in fig. 1 of page 1/7 where it displays the internal of the arm and components in position of engagement. It shows clearly that (item n°: l) in Fig. 1 the motor to turn the threaded bar marked (item n°:2). Then there are items Nos.: (5-6-7 and 8) which constitute the system of engagement and disengagement of arm marked (item n°:4)
Operating Functions and where the various parts are fixed
(Item n°6) are the Roller bearings that fit the groove on the sides of the telescopic arm. (Item n°4)(Ref. To Fig. 4 of page 4/7). (Item n°7) is put on top of the roller bearing (Item n°6). In order to hold everything together tied a ring (Item n° 8) is fixed, which has the objective of varying the force of engagement and disengagement of threaded nut (item n°5) with lateral grooves which in turn goes inserted into the telescopic arm (item n° 4) keeping itself locked. With this operation the threaded bar (item n° 2) can be screwed to the nut by means of a motor (item n° 5) and move the telescopic arm (item n° 4).
In the case of manual opening the nut (item n° 5) is unlocked (or disengaged) from the roller bearings (item n° 6) and slides into the telescopic arm (item n° 4) without the need of the motor. In case of an automatic signal the threaded rod moves the nut (item n° 5) until it reaches and obtain the locking or engagement position.
Hydraulic system
The hydraulic system is similar to that of mechanical system for locking (engagement) and unlocking (disengagement), but whit a difference in the way the arm moves. While in the mechanical system the shift (movement) occurs by means of a threaded bar and nut, in the hydraulic system the shift (movement) occurs when the stem (item n°14) gets out and equipped whit a locking or engagement mechanism at the part as shown in Figure n°5 of page 7/7 locks the arm (item n°15) which is also movable.
