Abstract

An oligomer reaction product formed by reacting a polyfunctional thiol with a compound having two or more reactive double bonds is useful for preparing radiation curable compositions that when cured have a refractive index of at least 1.67 at 589 nm. The curable materials have particular utility in the fabrication of optical waveguides having a high refractive index.
