Abstract

Cette invention concerne un système de communications (10) comprenant une station de base (14) qui permet de communiquer avec une unité terminale (12) par le truchement d'une interface sans fil (28) et un réseau à commutation par paquets (18) couplé à la station de base (14) avec laquelle le réseau (18) peut communiquer. Le système (10) comprend également un système de gestion de réseau (20) couplé au réseau à commutation par paquets (18). Le système (20) génère un message permettant de gérer l'unité terminale (12). De plus, le système de gestion de réseau (20) permet également de transmettre en mode transparent le message de gestion à l'unité terminale (12) et de recevoir de ladite unité la réponse de à ce message de gestion en mode transparent.
