Abstract

L'invention se rapporte à un procédé et à un appareil permettant de fabriquer de manière continue un fil et à lui donner une forme de bobine hélicoïdale, d'enrouler ledit fil de manière à faciliter son transport et/ou son stockage, et d'assurer un retour automatique du fil à sa forme hélicoïdale souhaitée lorsqu'il n'est pas enroulé. La mise en oeuvre dudit procédé permet le stockage de grandes quantités de fil enroulé ayant une forme hélicoïdale 'mémorisée' ainsi que son utilisation ultérieure, selon les besoins, pour la fabrication de dispositifs à bobine hélicoïdale. Dans la réalisation préférée, un fil de Nitinol traverse une unité de formation de ressorts de manière à être incurvé, il est enroulé autour d'un mandrin cylindrique, puis passe par un four à haute température avant d'être refroidi de manière que la forme de bobine hélicoïdale soit mémorisée.
