Abstract

A palette editor and service control are described. A fully exposed application program interface may be presented, and a subset of the services and arguments may be identified as appropriate for a palettized transformation of the API. Aliases may be specified for the services and arguments, and arguments may be defaulted as appropriate and marked as hidden as appropriated. Rules may be associated with the arguments. The API palette definition may be used by application to present a simpler, more meaningful transformation of the API to a user. That subsequent user may then enter or specify data for the API invocation as appropriate and the service control will create a service invocation as necessary.
