Abstract

A system and method for prepayment of goods or services obtainable from among one or more vendors. An agent maintains a processor configured to store data in a database relating to a plurality of accounts where the data identifies a consumer, a vendor, and an amount of funds. A consumer deposits an amount of funds with the agent to be used to pay for future purchases by the consumer from a vendor. The agent transfers the funds to the vendor. Purchases from the vendor made by the consumer are paid for from the funds.
