Abstract

The invention relates to an assemblable, collapsible and self-expandable pinata, which is initially assembled by joining the different carton panels. Once assembled, the pinata is folded until it has a thin body. The pinata is self-expandable once the securing cord is cut and is ready to be suspended and used.

Description

"ARMABLE, FOLDABLE AND SELF-EXPANDABLE PIÑATA."

OBJECT OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to a "Wearable, Folding and Self-expanding Pinata", specifically to hang and break during a party, and which is generated by means of preformed and pre-doped panels.

Piñata that has been perfected in order to avoid the classic problems caused by the traditional manufacture of traditional piñatas and whose objective is to provide a Wearable, Folding and Self-expanding Pinata.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

Within the field of handicrafts, the "piñatas" are highly valued products not only in the national market since their boom is taking place in countries and international markets, for their colorfulness and for their own nature as well as for the meaning they imply , are the reflection of the folklore of Latin countries especially Mexico, a piñata is synonymous with celebration, joy, laughter, color and art, enclosed in a paper creation with color paper finishes, in short a piñata has a great meaning for Latin people especially Mexico.

Therefore, a piñata is manufactured by hand, each piñata is a work of art, however for the requirements of the market it is necessary to supply the growing international market for piñatas, so that its manufacturing systems have been improved to go from being handcrafted to be manufactured in series, which gives it qualities and advantages over traditional piñatas.

It was found that US Patent 5,536,194 to Larsen al. refers to a folding pinata, the essence of the invention being the fact that said pinata is constructed in a single module and that its folding is a function of the folds of the material used, likewise another US Patent 5,824,378 of Armendariz et to the. which refers to the folding being different from the aforementioned because it is constructed only of two pieces, in the two aforementioned patents the folding is a function of the cardboard parts of the piñata, which at the time it is deployed moves the distance needed to expand the body of the piñata, US Pat. Estrada 4,832,337 refers to a reusable piñata that has nothing to do with what is being patented here, Estrada US Patent 5,562,518 refers to a telescopic pinata that is foldable, is formed by modules that are introduced one over the other in a way that the expansion mechanism is as telescopes do, US Patent 4,253,266 of Bajo refers to a folding and reusable piñata, just being a reusable piñata makes it different by the type of mechanism to be used, US Patent 3,983,658 de De Sanz, refers to two half spheres that are joined in this way forming the body of a spherical pinata, which will be subsequently decorated.

These needs bring with it the fundamental problem of manufacturing a piñata that is assembled, foldable and self-expanding without losing its craft characteristics.

The piñata that the invention proposes has been conceived to solve this problem to full satisfaction, for which it focuses its characteristics on the fact that it incorporates a central body to which two cones have been added preferably in number of six but that can vary from according to the needs, and that they are folded together with the central body and that by means of a tensioned link mechanism it recovers its volumetric form once the securing rope is cut.

PREFERRED EMBODIMENT OF THE INVENTION

In view of these figures it can be seen how the piñata that is recommended is structured based on preformed and pre-folded cardboard panels, the body. central (fig. 8) is integrated by. two cardboard panels (fig. 3 and 4).

The design of the cardboard panel of fig. 3 incorporates a hexagonal figure or body (31) from which 3 wings (32, 33 and 34) are detached from said wings a series of folds and die cuts have been made which together make it unique, on the other hand the panel of fig. 4 is also hexagonal in shape (41) also having 3 wings, the wings (42 and 43) being identical to the wing (34) of fig. 3 _. and the wing (44) is identical to the wings (32 and 33) of fig. 3.

This piñata is constructed based on cones like the one shown in the shape shown in fig. 7, said cone (6 are used per piñata) is structured based on bends and punches, said cone incorporates seven sides that in its widest part incorporates identical projections or tongues (71) in the faces (2 and 5) with respect to to the number of faces of the cone and based on the number 1 to which. is next to the tongue (73), at its narrowest end incorporates a circle (76) which in turn incorporates a hole (761) with groove (762) in correspondence cpn another circle (77) followed by a strip (78) with arrowhead (781), likewise said cone incorporates a series of 4 holes (72) in the wider end of the faces of the cone, which function as guides to the cord (12) that surrounds the central body (fig. 8 ) and that it is sandwiched through the holes (72) of the zigzag shaped cones as shown in fig. one.

On the No. 1 face of the cone a projection or tongue (73) with a pair of wings (731) and two bending lines (732) can be seen, which once formed the cone is introduced into the trapezoidal groove (74).

The assembly process of the present invention of a folding, self-expanding and folding piñata is detailed as follows: A central panel is taken either as in fig. 3 or as given in fig. 4. and then the leagues with cord are introduced as shown in fig. 5, first introducing the cord (52) without a padlock (55), taking care that the padlock (54) of the league (51) is always located on the face that will be inside the central body, in fig. 8 it can be seen how only the elastics with cord of said central body leave, the elastic mechanism is formed by a link (51) to which a 3-wire cord (52) is incorporated, the cord being adjusted to the league by means of a knot ( 56), likewise said cord incorporates another knot (53) that functions as a safe to activate the elastic mechanism, said cord (52) incorporates a lock (55) at its end. The central panels incorporate wings (34, 42 and 43) that differ from the wings (32, 33 and 45) since they are longer than said wings, incorporating a rectangular extension to the center (349) and which is folded into the interior of the central body (fig. 6) by means of the folds (348 and 355) this addition allows that when the central body is folded, the walls of said body are accommodated internally without interfering with a wall with the adjacent wall, the wings being ( 346 and 354) those that cover the gap that could remain from the assembly between walls.

It should be noted that the wings (34, 42 and 43) incorporate two leagues (51) attached to a cord (52) per wing.

Well, the present invention focuses on the fact that said piñata is manufactured with cardboard sheets said cardboard sheets are printed - on one side only with the motifs or designs imitating the colored paper commonly used in artisanal piñatas, said sheets They are preformed and pre-folded so that the assembly is very fast compared to a piñata manufactured by artisanal means.

This piñata has the following advantages:

A) is a piñata formed by cardboard panels printed on only one side where no type of adhesive material is used for assembly.

B) It is a piñata that is assembled very fast, once armed it can be folded and once folded it can be self-expanding.

C) It is a piñata that once armed folds up, with which an extremely thin and compact piñata is obtained, which allows a greater amount of piñatas per shipment.

D) It is a piñata that due to its characteristics of serial poultry can produce large quantities to supply the growing national and international market.

E) It is a piñata that once folded has greater ability to handle without being damaged.

F) It is a piñata that, due to its manufacturing, finishing, assembly and folding process, it is easier to handle, ship, transport, so manufacturing times are reduced as well as labor and freight costs. G) It is a very new piñata since taking it compact home is very attractive the process of self-expansion of said piñata.

H) It is a piñata that for the purposes of the present invention is shown with a central body of predominantly hexagonal shape such as traditional 6-spiked piñatas, but can even vary its shape and. Geometry without losing its function of wearable, folding and self-expanding.

I) It is a piñata that, due to the nature of its parts, does not contain sharp parts that endanger the physical integrity of the operators during the manufacturing process.

J) It is a piñata that due to the nature of its materials _. and to the design itself, it would not damage if any of the pieces in case of being shot by the force of the blows would hit a person.

Claims

CLAIMS Having sufficiently described the invention is considered as a novelty and therefore claim as exclusive property of my represented the content in the following 5 clauses:

1. Armored, Foldable and Self-expanding Pinata, which is formed by a central body with protrusions or spikes, characterized in that the union of its parts is done without any type of adhesive, conforming by the union of cardboard panels printed by a
