Abstract

Selon la présente invention, un câble principal (2) est mis en place à des fins de suspension, ledit câble étant composé d'une corde en fibres synthétiques qui est réalisée par mise en faisceaux d'une pluralité de brins (9) étant chacun formés par enroulement de fils (6) constitués de fibre de résine synthétique, les fils (6) formant les brins (9) étant disposés de manière à donner auxdits brins une densité élevée en coupe transversale, et ledit câble étant suspendu. Cette invention concerne également un dispositif élévateur dans lequel les cabines (3, 4) de l'élévateur sont suspendues par l'intermédiaire dudit câble principal (2). L'invention permet une augmentation de la résistance par unité de surface de la section transversale du câble principal (2). Ainsi, il est possible de réduire le nombre de câbles principaux (2) servant à suspendre les cabines (3, 4), et de réduire la taille des équipements, tels que les poulies, associés à la suspension de la part du câble principal (2).
