Abstract

La présente invention concerne un monte-escalier à entraînement par friction (10), dans lequel un chariot monte-escalier (11) est entraîné en montée et en descente le long d'un rail de monte-escalier (12) par l'interaction de frottement entre un élément d'entraînement (25) placé dans le chariot (11) et le rail (12). Des moyens de transfert du poids (38a, 38b, 44) placés entre une chaise (13) et l'élément d'entraînement (25) permettent de garantir que, lorsqu'une charge s'exerçant vers le bas est appliquée sur l'interface (13) (comme c'est le cas lorsqu'un utilisateur monte sur le monte-escalier), une force s'exerçant vers le bas est appliquée afin d'augmenter l'interaction de frottement entre l'élément d'entraînement (25) et le rail (12).
