Abstract

Selon la présente invention, un appareil (30) d'un site (14) inclut un agent (100) assurant un service de tenue de stock de logiciels (200). Ce service de tenue de stock de logiciels recherche systématiquement des noms de fichiers (410) parmi les appareils. Les noms de fichiers, et les informations qui leur sont associées, telles que les longueurs (422), les dates (420) et les noms de plate-forme (424), sont communiqués pour traitement à un centre d'exploitation (12). Au niveau du centre d'exploitation, on associe à des descriptions (430), à des noms de fabriquants (432), à des langages (442) et à des noms d'application et de suites (440) ces noms de fichiers, et on les stocke dans un centre d'archivage (172). Dès que les noms de fichiers sont stockés dans le centre d'archivage, on peut relier les appareils aux noms d'applications et aux noms de fichiers du centre d'archivage qui sont montés sur l'appareil. Un module de tenue de stock de logiciels (154) permet au niveau du centre d'exploitation d'associer au centre d'archivage du centre d'exploitation les logiciels montés sur les appareils. Le module de tenue de stock de logiciels permet également d'associer à des licences gérées au niveau du centre d'exploitation les logiciels montés sur les appareils, et ce, à des fins d'analyse de conformité des licences, avec la possibilité de désactiver les logiciels sans licence sur les appareils.
