Insbesondere die Verwendung von Kunststoffen, Kunstdünger, Pestiziden und Fungiziden bedarf eines relativ hohen finanziellen Einsatzes. Auch sind besondere Verfahren zur Herstellung der Pellets erforderlich, da sie entweder selbst aus Kunststoffen bestehen oder beispielsweise einen kunststoffummantelten Kern besitzen.Furthermore, according to US Pat. Die vorliegende Erfindung ist vorzugsweise zum Anpflanzen von Nutzpflanzen in Ländern mit hoher Tagestemperatur und nächtlicher hoher Luftfeuchtigkeit geeignet. Das erfindungsgemäße Substrat oder die Pellets bestehen aus einer Mischung aus kleingeheckselten Naturfasern, wie Bambus, Ko os, Stroh oder Heu, die beispielsweise in einer Hammermühle zerkleinert wurden. Diese Blumen hatten dabei die gleiche Haltbarkeit, wie bei der Verwendung herkömmlicher Blumensteckmasse. Ein dekorativer Effekt konnte erzielt werden, wenn das aus aufgequollenem Natrium Polyacrylat bestehende Gel im Ausgangszustand oder auch eingefärbt in durchsichtige Gefäße gefüllt wurde. Das aufgequollene Natrium Polyacrylat wirkt durch das Glas kristallin, wodurch sich eine interessante optische Wirkung einstellt.
