Abstract

L'invention concerne un dispositif constitué d'un robot mobile, sans fil et relié par une liaison radio vers un ordinateur personnel doté d'un modem; un serveur Internet permettant l'acquisition de séquences vidéo et audio, et d'un terminal de type téléphone portable, PDA (ordinateurs pockets) ou ordinateur portable dotés d'un modem et d'une téléphonie sans fil. Le robot, qui peut prendre une forme 'technique' ou rappeler un animal, est doté d'une caméra, d'un ensemble de moteurs et de capteurs lui assurant des capacités de mobilité, de surveillance-alarme intrusion et incendie, et de télémanipulation grâce à une pince ou d'autres actionneurs télécommandés. L'invention concerne deux domaines d'application principaux: un système original et très rassurant pour les propriétaires d'alarme qui permet de déclencher une caméra au moment de l'intrusion, et d'immédiatement envoyer les images sur un serveur Internet. Le propriétaire est prévenu automatiquement, et peut visualiser ce qui se passe chez lui grâce à un terminal relié sans fil sur ce serveur Internet. Le point remarquable de l'invention est que même si l'intrus détruit le robot, les images auront déjà été sauvegardées, car envoyées sur Internet. La manipulation d'objets à distance via Internet (commander des appareils, nourrir des animaux) depuis son lieu de vacances par exemple.
